Trip to France

I have the the site on my phones homepage as an icon, but an actual app would be great, not seeming to find it for some reason.

can you post the google play icon, or a picture of the page
Hi Kev,

I can't see Fuel Flash in Play Store using my Android devices either, but if I go to Play Store on my laptop, it tells me that the app is not available for any of my devices. This may be due to operating system version (my most recent is Android 11) or perhaps some other factor such as registered country. I know that Play Store prevents me from downloading some French supermarket apps because I'm registered in UK.

Ah yes that'll be it, I didn't consider that Tom.

We're near Metz to a place that is free.

We tried 2 FREE AIRES near Metz (on the WC app) that were not in the least bit free, we need to get people doing a review especially when Diesel is at the price it is now, we don't want to be wasting any because some are too lazy to do a simple review, it was the same in Ireland and it miffs me greatly...
Hi Kev,

The thing to do is to REPORT in the Location App and Phil will change the status. Ideally, give him details of current prices. I see that there is no rating/review/report re the AF at Charleville-Mézières. Was the CCP aire in the exact same location or a short distance away? CCI app shows the CCP aire close to where the AF is (or was), but not the exact same location. It also shows prices.

The aire at Metz was free back in 2019 (but very difficult to find an available space at any time of day). It looks as though it's been chargeable since 2022. You have to ask yourself how many WC members might have visited in the last couple of years? Not necessarily laziness, perhaps just that no member has visited since it became chargeable.

We were close to it earlier but Simon made us go to Petange in Luxembourg coz the Diesel is cheap there.

We did sort of get a Latte at a Mc Ds in Messancy on the way to Petange with the smallest cheese bu9on the face of the earth, if hadn't been for the relish, it would have been better eating the receipt, the coffee was like a very very weak cup of psuedo coffee, it was cheap though, €8 something.

€1.514 pl

There have been big changes in the Aires and municipal sites in the last few years, many have been taken over by commercial firms, and this seems to be continuing, so don't bank on any aire being free unless you have a recent recommendation.

More important that they get reviewed as often as possible, I'm forced to rely on other apps and other wild campers, plus seeking put our own where WC would be my go to where possible.

You should have went to the places i told you and not hid under some bush out of sight to me.

Had a coffee in Metz, now heading into Switzerland for a look around before coming back into France.

We're not really enjoying it, I've turned off tollroads but now it A roads which while very good,we're not seeing the smaller towns and villages and short of putting individual ones in we're not sure of the best way to go about it yet.

Any ideas?

Depends where in Switzerland you are heading for but two things to remember, it is a very expensive country and you'll need a vignette if you stray onto Swiss motorways. Look on the interweb for les plus beau villages de France, there are a few over that way, also Annecy is worth a look if you end up that far south. Cycle track right around the lake so ok for scooter etc.
