Trip to France

Not sure if peeps know but you can download multiple maps on Google maps for offline use, obvs you won't get the traffic alerts unless you have a data signal, but very useful as a back up, of course it's useful to have other map apps loaded too.

It does take up a fair bit of storage but I have 256gb on mine plus a 512gb micro SD card so not a problem, and they las for 12 months unless you update them.

Never realised that Paris was in Normandy!

I never realised downloaded google maps expired in 12 months Kev. That might explain why some of mine went awry last year when using them for sat nav on the bike. I knew I had downloaded them the previous year but they kept packing up when I lost the mobile signal. I bet thats why.

I use downloaded Google maps in the car, whilst they will (or might) get you where you want to be, they are far less useful than a TomTom. Even online I've found they are not as good as TomTom for speed alerts, or in fact just to show speed, something which I've found useful with the TomTom. Also you can only download a section of a country at a time, for main routes this might not matter, but no good if you want to go to somewhere off the beaten track thats just outside the downloaded area.

Ive always thought a dedicated TomTom sat nav device is the way to go but since they stopped producing sat navs with headphone sockets yonks ago its the only option on the scooter really. Its not ideal but its been a bit of a game changer, especially navigating around cities.

no problem I just get a refund, the 07 one worked on Win 10, I did ask about tit and it will work with win 10 but not 11.

It may well work. Mine did although Ive not reinstalled it. Remember when you run the installer to run it as administrator. I think that helps. It may well run on 11 I bet as well.

Thats because as iv told you, you do not own win 11 and they wont let you download anything not aproved or monies to m soft, stick to win 10 for the stuff you want.

Not true Trev. May be the case for Win 11 in S mode, but not vanilla Win 11.

Looks to be a superb location. Is it easy to find the retail outlets selling tokens for water?
