Tips for securing hose pipe in filler

How about a short lengthe of 13mm plastic foam insulation over ur hose?
If u use something like that filler cap thingy what happens when the tank is full and water is still going in fast at mains pressure? Could burst something in the van?

The Cava cork is working perfectly. :D On this van if you overfill it then it just has an overflow out the top of the tank so it just pours all over the pitch. I multi tasked this afternoon. Left the hose doing its thing knowing it wont fall out and filled the three 5 litre drinking water carriers on the next pitch!! Ill have to consume another bottle of Cava tonight though so I have a spare. :D

I was about to say don't go letting corks and stuff go down into the tank.

Can't happen as you put the hose in first then the cork. Well I say it can't happen. If you were to drink the Cava first and then fill in the dark there is a distinct possibility I suppose. If that happens ill let Michelle stick her hand in the tank to retrieve it which is easily accessed from inside the van.

I am worried about this forum. I deliberately didnt post this on FUCTS or FUN thinking I would get more "inventive" answers on here or preferably just plane daft answers. :(

Brilliant! Did you study technical drawing at school?

Coat hangers have so many uses. The Cork is still winning though
Wire coathangers do have many uses.
I once bought a ex builders kermit green bedford dormobile minibus, four speed and sliding doors. Ten of us loaded roofracks end to end on the bus and with is all on board it was sitting on the rear bump stops and threataning to shake the bus to bits on the back in the day rough French roads. A genious came up with the idea of wiring some hard rubber balls we'd seen at a seaside stall to the cart springs. Worked a treat and all the way to Estartit and back to berkshire.

£37.80 for a night on a campsite! I've been on two of the premier sites in Woolacombe for six weeks now and the most I've paid is this week (half term) at £16 a night and the lowest about £11 I think. The thing is though, I don't want a proper adaptor. Where is the fun in that? Plus once I've built up a decent collection of just the right size Cava bottle corks ill flog em to all the Newbies on the zillion motorhome Facebook groups that have cropped up. They will buy anything! £20 each.
If settled on the cava tyoe corks simply ask a licenced caff for freebee corks

That has always concerned me. That's why I use the cork method, as approved by @barryd
