Tips for securing hose pipe in filler

I've been watching 'Solar System' with Brian Cox recently Merl, a brilliant program.

Maybe Mr Cox would step in and apply some science to Barry's problem? (In his D-reams!)
Well if you say so your Robness.

Bloody hell Kev, you've got good eyesight. Voyager left our solar system years ago.

"Each spacecraft is equipped with three radioisotope thermoelectric generators. These nuclear "batteries" were developed originally by the U.S. Department of Energy as part of the Atoms for Peace program enacted by President Eisenhower in 1955"

Dammit Kev, I knew I shouldn't have gone down the Lithium route!

Stop paying all your tax and buy a proper bit of kit. Listen to Ral. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Nonsense. However I have stopped drinking Cava since I came home. I need Whisky for Musical creativity so ill need to find a solution to keep the limited number of Cava corks safe. Maybe hang em off the reversing camera mirror.

A bit of inspiration for you .

I love this sort of stuff Rob, Our PVR is full of stuff like Cox's programmes.
This Horizon programme was on a couple of evenings ago, it's been on before but it's still a great re-watch.

Coxy also did a program a few years back where he talked about the Saturn VI rocket that took us to the moon and he revealed some amazing facts about the sheer power of the rocket engines, I can't find the actual episode but from memory it was something like:-
The most powerful machine ever constructed.
On take off it was generating enough energy to power the WHOLE OF THE UK.
The engines were drinking fuel at the rate of something like 14 tons per second.
In order to get this amount of fuel into the engines they had fuel pumps that had their own engines that were more powerful than a jumbo jet.
Absolutely amazing.

I've been chatting with an idiot neighbour Merl, he's a major conspiracy theorist. He seriously believes that the earth is flat and the Sun is actually just above cloud level, he said that he can proves this because the Sun's rays come through the clouds and then they get wider! 😂

He also seriously believes that man has never been into space, the reason being that when you get to 72 miles up you hit a wall of ice which the Earth is surrounded by. Also he said how would the thrusters on these rockets work in a vacuum where there is nothing to thrust against.

He just bothered me again whilst I was outside working on the van - just what I needed!
