Tips for securing hose pipe in filler

Way too complicated and technical. Cava Corks! Its the future!
Apologies, veered off the immature stuff for a moment .
German chap using it this morning. Had to wait alongside until he had finished. Not his fault , before I got to the facilities a Portuguese guy had been there for 2 hours! He was cleaning the interior of his van .
Amazed nobody dug him up

The old van seemed to have some kind of nick in the pipe and I could always wedge the hosepipe in and it wouldnt fly out mid flow. This new one is a right PIA. Of course what happens is no matter where you are stood it will fly out and soak you. Its like a magnet. The flaying hose will seek you out even if you stand two fields away. I think there are all sorts of things you can buy but I'm looking for inventive simple solutions. My idea at the moment is a champagne cork (Cava will do I think). Carry it in your pocket and just wedge it in the hole with the hose pipe. Not tried it yet, still trying to get dry after the latest fill.

Any other ideas?
Hi Barryd. There are water caps with fitting for hose pipe. Not bought one myself.
I use a hosepipe attached to a funnel. Funnel used when filling with 5 litre water bottle but when both hose pipes are pushed in together they fit quite tight. My van design has a rear door close by to pass the hose over that seems to slow any hose pipe "judder". So far no back wash. used for 10 years

My water filler is in the top of the gas locker with a screw on cap over the inlet, I drilled a hole in the screw cap and fitted a Hoselok (other makes are available) quick release fitting. My hose plugs on to it. Sorted.
I also carry a few different fitting to enable me to connect to filling taps or join two hoses together if needed. I use a flat hose which winds onto a reel for storage.

Not a problem for me my autosleeper dose not have a fill hole , it fills through an electronic pump system ,marvellous ,when it works iIF IT WORKS works ,none of that watering can malarkey , if I'm on a super pitch i can leave it connected and it auto fills the tank , what a marvellous pile of autosleeper expensive jjunk .
