That photo was taken at a very large picnic area with a kids play park and adventure area that you don’t see in the photo.Going by that photo and the area he was probably just set up for the day no problem in that I think.The nearest house is about 300yds away. I’ve seen a hundred times worse in the lay-bys a mile up the rd that are supposed to be in the National park and policed.

Yep, just found it on google maps. Genuinely cant see an issue with a day out with the nipper on the park, fair play to them.

If you become a mute member can you pm me your thoughts, we need more members like you so losing them isn't an option, I don't post as much as I used to because of comments but it isn't us that is the problem, usually new members that think this forum is just right for them then try to change it, keep posting mate

Just to be clear, I "liked" the post because this Forum is too valuable for any of us to go "mute" for whatever reason. Personally I've not seen anything to chastise "new members" about, maybe I've not seen the appropriate thread. As far as this thread goes, it just shows that nothing is black or white and it would be a strange old world if it was.

Pallets, blooming luxury. I just chucked a mattress in the back and camp cooker. Sometimes I didn't bother with the mattress.

I took it as washing up liquid bottle.

From the tv back in the day, "you'll need 2 toilet roll tubes, a washing up liquid bottle and a cereal box for this weeks make something project."

I.e. stuff that is essentially free.

Well, the only "squeeze bottle" - which is like "plastic bottle" in my mind - that you see in campers in my own experience is in the form of the recycled insulation rolls that you can buy from B&Q when building a camper. I was wondering if using that and recycled pallet wood for furniture was deemed to be not appropriate, but I have used plastic bottle insulation in all the campers I have built and it is very popular for that purpose. Never used pallet wood, although seen some very nice conversions using it (and some blooming awful ones as well for that matter).

Funny but I was thinking it was a bottle they were taking a leak in cos they hadn't yet fitted a toilet!
