No MOT is OK 🤔

Who in their right mind would spend £12 to find their Wife in Tesco, I stand outside and eventually mine comes out and it didn't cost me anything 👍

Also while I am waiting I get the benefit of Google sending me messages that there are a few local shops that I might be interested in 😎

Still costs me Terry whether I'm there or not.

Julie just says "I used 'Our' account" as opposed to 'Her' account. :(

Tother way round here, we each have our own 2 x accounts, I spend mine on whatever I like for myself and anything else comes out of Liz's.

I quite like the fact that we are tracked. Many a serious criminal been brought to justice because of this.

I don't care if they know where I go, I've nothing to hide. Same with CCTV, doesn't bother me in the slightest. If I had my way, it would be compulsory for every vehicle on the roads to have a dashcam.

Long live Big Brother! :)
Well said that man (y)

Nice honest law abiding people like thee and me Rob are OK with it :) It`s all the riff raff on here that don`t like it because of what the buggers get up to o_O

You two clearly have too much faith in the state, and the dodgy companies it hands out contracts to.
I'm sure China will welcome you with open arms. 😝

Some folks in here ....

Not so much the tracking, its the personal stuff like banking/c card info and where you shop/buy, then you will get pestered 24 7 with adds and emails, or worse the bank details lifted and used, its happen to many a person, no bother if you do not put details on them, many do.

We`ve always had our wages paid into the joint account which paid/pays for everything :)

In the early days though i had wage packets and would bring them home ( thursdays ) and hand it over to the wife still sealed. i could check it was right because the take home pay etc. etc. was written on the front and i could count the notes through the cut off corner on the back.

Must be a side effect of being married and living in Lancashire o_O

Does using an old tech dumb phone make much difference? It still connects to the network so can be tracked. I changed to smart phone a few years ago,. So I could use wats up to contact the kids , send pics and very occasionally use Google maps as a satnav.
Whatever ads google send me is a complete waste of their time. With 60 million plus in the country it'll be sometime before anyone gets round to tracking my uninteresting data. I don't use the phone for banking and never save passwords on the confuser.
CCTV is no bother most is recorded and not looked at unless there's been an incident. Most of what's looked at live is for road safety or town centre crime I've no problem with that.
As I've reached the age where any motoring accident will be the old farts fault until proved otherwise I've recently bought a dash cam.

My late g father never handed in or let my gran know anything about his earnings, he gave her just enough to buy food etc and he sorted the rest, and always bought a new car every 18 mths or 2 years until the last 2 before death which was 6 years old, high mileage for him was 6000 at trade in.
He kept his business to himself and was as tight as a ducks a^se.

My mother was the one who managed all the money, not necessarily because she'd wanted too, just the way it was.

Dad never went anywhere without a fiver of 'pocket money' on him, was his idea and all the money he ever wanted. So my mother paid for everything, but apart from regular household running costs etc. any big spending decisions were always made jointly.

He also used to joke that my mother was the only woman who could come back from holiday with more money than they went with! 😲:ROFLMAO:  £££

Mind you, I rather suspect some of it was not wanting responsibility for managing the household finances, but it was mostly done on the basis of mutual trust and respect.

Definitely preferable to the way some nasty gits treated (and still treat) their chattels - sorry, spouses! 😝
