No MOT is OK 🤔

If the car is on bricks there is nothing the police can do, lots in housing estates do that here.
Any way if not blocking you whats the problem, live and let live.
They are on bricks because the local neds have stolen the wheels Trev.😂

I
Feed up with a car parked (dumped) in our street since December I grassed on it. I check online first and it has no MOT.
Reported it on line and this is the response:

"Thank you for your online report.
With regards to this, Police need to catch a vehicle being driven with no MOT to act on this. If you are to see this vehicle being driven, please call and report this, providing their location and direction of travel so that we can raise a live log with this information."

So seems alls ok not to have a MOT, surprised me! At least I didn't get done for wasting police time ;)
I'm surprised the police didn't come mob handed, three cars, six police, tazers, attitude and a couple of dogs. Two hours later after farting about and looking tough they would have attended a real emergency. You know, like a woman silently praying whilst standing. :giggle:😇😊😇😊😇

You can insure an UnMOTed vehicle with no problems and lots are (Even ones over 3 years old)
You can't Tax an uninsured or unMOTed vehicle though.
You can if you live on an island.

On the Orkney outer isles it is legal to drive a vehicle without an MOT as long as it is taxed and insured. It has to be declared and it can only be used on the island. People on Orkney Mainland often sell on mot failures to the isles as "isles cars". Apparently it is due to no access to "main roads".

One can see are some seriously dodgy looking vehicle on the road from time to time.

Personally I think it would be more logical to keep the requirement for and MOT and remove the need for tax (due to reduced road mileage). Of course MOT doesn't raise money for the gov't, road tax does!

P.S. I don't know but I imagine the same applies for some of the smaller western isles.

Interesting. There used to be a similar rule on Rathlin Is. in NI. No MOT needed, but also NO tax OR Insurance and all the cars were wrecks (we had two cars .. one had no exhaust, the other had no 1st, 3rd or reverse gears), but standard rules applied to all after they introduced a car-carrying ferry.

Have you considered getting an Android phone and using google chrome to book and pay for your MOT or have I missed something here  😇:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Are you joking, had one and ditched it, full of spyware, google what a joke, no one in their right mind uses it, firefox brave or falcon is secure but not on any smart info gathering contraption.

How many people, do you personally know who have lost anything due to phones or Windows PCs?
Brother inlaw for a start, £300 when it was at home and he was on holls in spain, if you look through the net you will find loads of your personal data which has been nicked, then there is the tracking stuff so the gov can follow you and see where and when you move, big brother is watching you.

Yes but was it due to the tech or a bad security on his part which is normally the case when the authorities look into individual cases?

I'm not saying that Google etc doesn't watch what you type in, but basically, it just sends relevant ads to you, nothing sinister, they go to great lengths to ensure your personal security is safe and spends millions doing it as does Android and Apple if they were as bad as you suspect then no one would use them and there would be pages of news on it every single day.

Many people are so brain washed thy dont see for looking, anyway I was fed up with adds and ph pinging 24/7, I bought mine for my use not to be pestered and watched over, now using a simple big button flip ph costing £12, does what i want, breakdown and finding the wife in tesco LOL.

I quite like the fact that we are tracked. Many a serious criminal been brought to justice because of this.

I don't care if they know where I go, I've nothing to hide. Same with CCTV, doesn't bother me in the slightest. If I had my way, it would be compulsory for every vehicle on the roads to have a dashcam.

Long live Big Brother! :)
