NO MORE OVERNIGHT STAYS IN SCARBOROUGH

Of course it applies to anyone that is doing what they shouldn't! We have no right to cheap holidays because we spend thousands on a mobile home! Sections two and three fit perfectly vans staying where they shouldn't or using parking as a camp site.
I can’t see how either of those two headings apply to someone staying overnight in a van. Who are you to say someone should use a camp site?

What makes you think that we don't condemn it?! Of course we blummin' do! 🤷‍♀️

And what exactly do you expect "us" to do about it? Set ourselves up as main educators for the ignorant in all of society?

WC is not that sort of forum, we're non-political. It's a social site. You want motorhome campaigning go take a look at what CAMpRA Uk are achieving instead - and they are doing a grand job so far in a very complicated world.

I would say that 99.9% of the people I know from this site, going back the many years it has existed, would never behave in the anti-social way that some motorhome/campervan users would appear to be doing so now and specifically in the way that you are grumbling about right here.

I note that you've been a member since 2019, but have never posted until very recently, and only on this thread specifically.

Is Scarborough a particularly personal issue for you, hence why you are feeling particularly disgruntled just now about what has gone on in that area? 🤔

All we can continue to do is be responsible for our own individual behaviours. As a group we don't have any kind of authority to be able police the actions of the rest of the world - and why on earth would any of us want to take on that (unpaid) responsibility?! 🤷‍♀️
Firstly, you need to get your facts right. I’ve posted since 2019, on many threads. Fact.

Moving on from that, there are people on here who do not condemn all the rule breaking. They suggest that some rules are okay to break.

But that’s not true. Breaking these rules is resulting in us losing these stopovers. So everyone should condemn it.

Not everyone does. But if that doesn’t apply to you, then it’s not directed at you.

So why did you bring up putting out tables and chairs?

That's what prompted me to reply after all.
Because people who are stopping overnight in their motorhome, put tables and chairs (and windbreaks and awnings) out during the day. It not only stops others parking, resulting in complaints, but it’s against the rules. All of which is resulting in us losing these stopovers.

This is about the provision of overnight stops for Motorhome’s and nothing else.

Well, if you can't make your mind up which it is, you can hardly criticise me for replying to the wrong side of your argument.

This thread is like a wee dug chasing its tail and going round and in circles.
Eventually it collapses with exhaustion, puts oot its table and chairs, sets up the barbie,
and gets oot the beers.
Only tae be telt yer brakin the rools, whit rools says the dug, Im a dug A canny read the rules.
:ROFLMAO:
It's cos we're Brits Bill, we love rules and we love complaining about them, simples 😉

No, I’ve been clear about which it is.

Motorhomers put tables and chairs out, which is against the rules. Which results in us getting banned.

I condemn that rule breaking. I’m surprised others don’t.

Sorry, I thought you were now saying this was about night time only. My bad. Must have been what you said below that confused me.

Anyway, I'll leave you to your circular argument, I have other things to do.

STOP IT, STOP IT RIGHT NOW YOU ARE IN DANGER OF SPOILING THIS THREAD WITH YOUR RADICAL OPINIONS

Just accept it, you lawless rule breaking junky you. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

No, I clearly explained that the issue was to do with overnight stops for Motorhome’s (not daytime parking for cars). I also clearly explained that Motorhome’s having chairs and tables out during the day caused complaints and was against the rules.

It’s a shame you couldn’t follow that, as I thought it was explained clearly. No problems though, at least you now know what I was saying, so it’s up to you to decide if you agree with the rule breaking or not 👍

Did you maybe get bored with all the nonsense on Facebook and social meedja and fancied a change of scenery for a circular argument in here instead?

You have only been posting (very) recently, btw, unless Phil has erased your posting history, which I rather doubt (unless they had broken any rules in here) 🤷‍♀️

And what's with the fixation of wanting everyone to agree to "condemn" whatever it is that's bothering you?

And how can I be so sure you're not just being a propa worky-ticket, pet lamb? 😱;):ROFLMAO:🤣🤣 😘

Again, you are wrong. I have been a member and posting on lots of threads since 2019. Fact. You saying otherwise doesn’t change that.

I haven’t seen any circular arguments on here. Just people with different opinions (which I welcome) and most of them are expressed maturely and calmly.

I don’t see a problem with that.

As for condemning the rule breakers who are losing us stopovers, yes, I believe we would all be better off if we did that. The rule breakers are contributing to us losing these stop.

So I find it strange if people on here won’t condemn them, but if that’s their choice then fair enough. They are enabling those campaigning against us, but so be it.

🤪

And with that, I really am done.
Again, I’ve explained in detail that we are talking about Motorhome overnight stops v daytime car parking. Plus those same overnighters using furniture during the day.

If you are really struggling to understand that, and why it’s a problem, then yes, it’s best you’re done.

Hmm. Are you maybe related to wintonian? 🤔🤗
