Hank the Tanks Dodgy battery and solar system

I don’t know where the 3k is coming from Barry.

2 X 100ah lithium with heaters and blutooth BMS £800
Additional 120w solar panel and cabling etc. £70
Victron MPPT 100/20 £65
Victron 20 amp mains charger £115
Victron 30 amp b2b. ( optional) £160
Leisure battery to vehicle battery charger £85
Ancillary equipment. £50
Total £1345

I did not mean for you to go up on the roof and fit your own solar Barry, but fitting an additional panel is a very simple process.
As much as I would recommend fitting the best you can afford as above there are cheaper viable options, but I just prefer victron gear. And the B2B is optional for you as you don’t have a smart alternator.
As for someone to fit this gear and supply it for you, look no further Barry. David is most certainly your man. I know David and I trust him completely.
And sorry Barry I have not read the whole thread.

My point was more in surprise that there is really not much to discuss here, you either do it or you don’t Barry. But whatever you do all the best Barry. (y)

David has packed in I believe Bill and I had quotes from VanBitz and Off Grid solutions. The nearly £3k quote from Vanbitz wasnt even Lithium! It was lead carbon! The Off Grid Solutions quote was just short of £3k from memory but it was the best stuff. A few extra bits from memory and 2 x Victron panels but also a considerable labour charge. I was about to push the button on it, in fact I was all for it while we were away but having had time to think I was exploring the option of just improving what we have for a small fraction of the cost myself. Some questioned in this thread whether it was overkill for us, hence the possible change of direction.

Just think how much it enriches your lives my super long threads? What would you rather be doing? Getting dragged out shopping with your missus or contributing to a super duper helpful thread like this? Stop complaining, I'm doing you a favour. No, don't thank me.

I would rather go shopping with my wife, then have my molars extracted without anaesthetic than read through this thread Barry. It reminds me of the magic roundabout, but once on this roundabout there is no way off. :)

Just read Barry’s thread title and I am a bit confused.
What has Barry’s dodgy battery set up, got to do with our solar system.
Barry’s battery system seems way more complicated than our solar system.
NASA have spent less time trying to gain information about the Jovian Moons, than we have trying to sort out his battery set up. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
I think 'We ' sorted it out a hand full of posts in

Several thousand pages more than war and peace later ...
We are going round in more circles than a taxi driver in Milton Keynes with a foreign tourist on the meter .
