  2. Wild Camp a Month 2019 Challenge

Friday the 12th April parked up the night at the Harwich Ferry terminal overnight ready to catch the morning ferry, hope this counts as we didn’t pay and just parked with a few other motorhomes in the corner.
  3. Wild Camp a Month 2019 Challenge

Our first wildcamping for the year and what a location, it was just as Anne had described and we met a few interesting characters. Sitting around a fire eating bread stew while the stars and moon hovered over Stonehenge, waking up to a frost gave an atmosphere and view to remember. Can’t wait...
  4. Conwy

Was there about a month ago and was ok, try not to be the outside van nearest the subway as we have been woken up by the drunks banging on the van at midnight as they walk through the car park from town.
  5. visit to the outer hebridies in june

That’s not correct, we filled up with LPG at Campbell’s filling station at Stornoway last month.
  6. Morrisons LPG

If the new app was up and running wouldn’t it be great if we could search for LPG filling stations and see the comments from the last wildcamoing member who had filled up there last. It could include the last price per litre of LPG and things like if it had a low roof or if access was hard...
  7. Morrisons LPG

We have used Morrison’s in Blackpoool to fill our refillable bottles that have an external fill point with out any problems. Was in Edinburgh last month and found a garage with LPG no problem.
  8. Chester wildcamp

We stay there regularly and have no problems. Read the post link below. Last time we were there they was a few abusing it and getting parking tickets. The best parking spots are the larger bays be the side of the river but be careful of the overhanging trees. Great location and lots to do in...
  9. The wilders

Met the gang at a CCC site at Lock Ness yesterday morning, they booked another night. According to Anne they were heading further North today. I’m sure we’ll get a post once they have settled in to there new location and sorted out some Wi-fi. We’re in Glencoe on our way back home.

  12. Advice wanted - grey waste

Would a waste master with the small end going under first not fit ? We had a hire rollerteam a few years ago that had a rod that opened a large flap in the bottom of the tank, great for aires and proper dump stations as it empty fast but a pain when you get home after wilding. It makes sense...
  13. Milenco Mirror Protectors

I purchase a set of white Milenco mirror protectors in 2014 for our Fiat X250 based motorhome and done 24,000 miles with them, transferred them to our X290 in March which has now done 4,000 miles. The first reason for buying them is cosmetic as the motorhome is all white except the mirrors...
  14. Little Roodee Car Park Chester, pay on exit

As I started this thread some time ago and as we stayed at the car park on Saturday night I would write an up date. Firstly don't park in the coach bays as you will get a parking ticket, see from the pics below two Motorhomes did and got parking tickets for doing so. The American RV had a car...
  15. Unofficial meet at Fairbourne, North Wales

Nice to have a meet in North Wales even if it was unplanned, had a great night and woke up to a brilliant view this morning. A little windy last night but weather suppose to get even better today and Sunday.
  16. Approved workshop for Swift

We use Glossop Caravans in Glossop for our Swift warranty work, have a good relationship with the service manager Mike Pindell and have good contacts within Swift themselves. Had the motorhome third year habitation service done last Monday and all ok with no damp 😎
  17. New Brighton

We asked advice about staying at New Brighton some months back but never really got any details. We are parked up tonight at CU Wallasey, which isn't a car park as such, just us and about another 10 motorhomes parked on the side of the road along the prom. The road is a 30mph dual carriageway...
  18. North Wales Snowdonia A5 Bethesda - Capel Curig

As we live in North Wales and regularly travel and stay in our motorhome in that area, one of the best places on the A5 to stay overnight is Betws y Coed, the car park at the back of the train station is owned by Snowdonia National Park and has parking areas marked for Motorhomes and it doesn't...
  19. new Brighton

Had a look at previous posts and can only find one comment about New Brighton, it doesn't say much about the location accept that they watched a motorhome owner peeing in public. We regularly go to Chester but would like a change that's not to far and has a sea view. It's looks quite good on...
