Yes but they lost more than that from 2008, and England now has 5 million more people for them to deal with. Also they lost many civilian posts that have never been replaced, leaving officers to handle much of that work.

I understand it's frustrating when the police don't seem interested ...
BUT they do spend an awful lot of time on paperwork/investigating etc etc that eventually comes to nothing ...usually at the hands of the CPS ....

And the amount of other frankly more pressing £$%^ they have to deal with means they can be very thinly spread .

Believe me where I live on the outskirts of Manchester ...
We have scrotes on stolen motor bikes,
Property theft,
Anti social behaviour
Kids carrying weapons
Etc etc etc
I live 5 minutes walk from the large area police station and the car park,is,full of parked up police cars ...
Most of which they haven't got the bodies to drive them because of lack of funding ...
The Police don't turn up to what are considered operationally as 'minor crimes' NOT because they can't be arsed ...
They don't turn up because there aren't the police numbers to deal with the volume ....

Again ....it's NOT the police at fault .

Yes the evidence is there for all to see unfortunately most of the good PC’s work goes by the way but there’s no old fashioned police service no more. As you will note on here the bullies are everywhere shouting their opinions which must be followed no one can now have opinions of their own. I used to rate the guy highly but then we must follow his dictates no wonder I don’t post often…Alf
