You make my point.
I wonder how many hits he's had from this thread?
None from me. Haven't even bothered looking at the video, never mind whatever yawn-making comments it may have attracted![]()
But I have wasted a bit of valuable time reading through the clickbait cr*p published in this thread ... grrrr!![]()
Best bit that Rob.That's a shame Marie.
I think you would've enjoyed the bit where the dog played 'Stairway to Heaven' on the accordion.
(may not have happened)
How dare you lady, my response was on a par with the Gettysburg address, extremely informative and interesting.None from me. Haven't even bothered looking at the video, never mind whatever yawn-making comments it may have attracted![]()

Exactly my point, why feed a bear before it devours you.I must admit I thought it ironic that he complains about how motorhomers are perceived badly, then publicly gives councils, locals and businesses something to moan about.
That makes him either really naive or so entitled that he just doesn’t care. Either way it’s a bad look.
What the video I posted in a reply here though. you will like that (and only lasts a minute anyway).None from me. Haven't even bothered looking at the video, never mind whatever yawn-making comments it may have attracted![]()

The Urban Explorer did the same thing. So last night I was watching a bit of youtube and as I was watching the video posted here recently about the large yellow Maniac truck in the snow from Turkey, I spotted a video entitled "Sharing a secret vanlife hack! free charging FULLTIME vanlife" Excuse the poor grammar and punctuation...not mine.
I thought...here we go...another click bait video but proceeded to watch anyway to find out about the hack.
The video spent a lot of time discussing the fact that the OP was parked up on Morecambe sea front and Morecambe has buildings on the sea front that are run down, unsightly and in some cases derelict. The content then showed the big hack! This free charging hack was to hide your jackery or similar battery in a back pack, sneak into a booth in a pub with a 13A socket and steal the electricity to charge the battery. The video showed the pair of reprobates being so sneaky in their task. So I posted a comment stating this was blatant theft and asked why they didn't just dump their toilet under the table whilst they were at it?! I stated that they were giving motor-homers a bad name and things were bad enough. I was so angry about what their video was promoting especially after the first segment in their video complained about all the derelict business properties obviously left by folks that had gone under.
The OP called me a troll. I don't think I'm troll. I think I'm a conscience campervan man/motor-homer.
The OP then said that they had asked if it was OK to plug the Jackery in. Errr....why did the video show all the sneaking about to plug in the battery to charge it. I asked if they had asked the owner or the pub or an employee? I didn't get an answer but they then stated the video was for "Entertainment" I would say its not for entertainment but to gain clicks in the interest of monetising the video.
Others have pointed out the same that it was theft. Some think its OK. Some said they have gone into busienese and asked if they could charge thier abttery and be wiulling to pay. Thats OK...thats the behaviour that should be promoted...not an "entertainment" video showing two cretins acting out theft of electricity. To be clear, they say after the fact they asked for the power, but thats NOT whats shown in the video and my point is if some numpties don't read the comments and only watch the video, this could lead to a another black mark against the camper van man and community. Its disgraceful!
Thoughts?
I've complained to Youtube that the content of the promotes a bad image of the community and simple theft of electricity.
I hope others that watch said video do the same and submit a complaint. I'm not adding a link here.
It only takes a couple of cretins to promote a video like this and the local businesses and council in Morecambe, and every other town will soon ban motor-homes from their towns.
Despicable!
