At no point did i state that. You didn't read what i have written or did not understand it. I said that this could be added to the cassette toilet dumping nonsense by the van haters if the content is seen by them.

Do these people actually make any money from this crap? That video has just 4500 views I think. I have one just of a farting Lemur Monkey on an old channel with 36000! None of motorhome ones I see seem to have that many. I thought you literally had to have millions of views before you made any kind of proper money. No idea as it doesn't really interest me. I notice though that the youtube algorithm favours lengthy videos which probably explains why so many of them are so boringly long.

He complains about motorhomers being treated badly by the council and residents and then posts a video of them stealing electricity from a pub. What a twat, talk about playing into the hands of your detractors.
Saying "it was a joke" in the comments section AFTER they've been taken to task...... ?
This sort of video harms the perception of people like us and is an idiotic you tube post, I really can't believe that anyone here could possibly condone posting it.

I just watched and commented. They seem like decent folk, but they should have considered the consequences of posting that video.

The guy goes on about how we are treated by councils, something I agree with, but he should realise that this type of video leads to some councils behaving as they do towards us. No one in that restaurant knew they were motorhomers until they posted on YT.
But they seem like decent people, possibly they will have learned from this.

in terms of money? I doubt anything at all. But more comments might mean more chance of having the video recommended by the Youtube algorithm? same as the more likes/dislikes (it doesn't actually matter if a video has a like or a dislike - it is the same to the Youtube logic).

I don't know for sure, but I don't think there are earnings for comments.

Comments will be taken into account by the algorithm, as will likes and dislikes and how many people watch the entire video.

They've earned bugger all out of that vid, remains to be seen what is does to traffic to the channel.

The number of 'likes' seems to be important. Every channel asks for likes 'as it helps them'.

I looked it up once and it was about £1 per thousand views, so you need a lot, one of my subs has 59k subs and gets around 60k views and 15k likes, they used to show dislikes but not seen it for a while, he says it's peanuts but pays for coffee and a few consumables, he sells nothing and recommends very little.

I must admit I thought it ironic that he complains about how motorhomers are perceived badly, then publicly gives councils, locals and businesses something to moan about.

That makes him either really naive or so entitled that he just doesn’t care. Either way it’s a bad look.
