Oops. Big bang. Bent suspension?

If the insurers are content to settle it still remains @Clunegapyears vehicle unless writing it off is agreed.

As the insured you can choose a suitably qualified repairer if you wish so quotes could be obtained and submitted to the insurer for consideration by their loss adjuster.

It's sometimes easy to be steered by the insurance company but they are not acting in your interests. They are acting in theirs!
Not forgetting you can employ your own loss adjuster at the insurance company's expense.

Probably Burton on Trent ??
that's it. There is a Youtube channel that I have watched a few videos of and he is quite scathing on the beer brewed in Burton on Trent due to the water. Describes all the beers from there (Such as 'Spanish' Madri, 'German' Pilsner, and various other 'continental' lagers) as having a "Farty" taste. I am not overly bothered by different beers TBH and the subtleties are lost on me, but when the options are available, I would tend to select the 'Italian' Moretti, which of course is brewed in Edinburgh.

I always look at the label and if it is brewed in the UK I avoid it unless it is a speciality beer brewed by a small brewery, there are lots of imported beers if you search for them and the taste is so much better

Oddly enough, the ALDI and LIDL cheaper versions of the 'foreign' beers that are really brewed in the UK are actually brewed abroad and imported.
I am in no way a beer afficiando and don't greatly care :)

Thread hijacking on an alcoholic scale🤦🏻‍♂️
Back on topic. Surely this Goldschmidt crowd would be aware their product is damaging Alko chassis? Maybe there’s strengthening plates or the like to be fitted with the airbags?
Everything can be repaired.

It’s certainly worth contacting Goldschmidt and Adria. I take it the ‘going off the tarmac’ was a low speed manoeuvre rather than a high speed error? If so I wouldn’t expect any damage, I am a regular on the drove at Stonehenge and there are some epic potholes there that my chassis and airbags cope with.

Burton on trent is recognised as having the best water for brewing beer (fact) breweries add calcium and gypsum depending on what is in there water, they call it Burtonising the water.

No idea. I guess is down to personal preferences. Calling something a "fact" like you did is daft, however. It is like saying "Hymer make the best motorhome. Fact" for example.
I would say there are countless brewers who would totally dispute your "fact".

Like I said, I really don't give a monkeys about beer so can't convince me one way or the other.

The reason I stated fact because it is a fact that brewers Burtonise their beer as the water in Burton in trent is recognised as giving the best flavour to beer and this process is used throughout the UK. As you have stated you don't give a monkeys about beer and probably could not decifer from piss to Pilsner but yet again sit behind a computer spaffing piss!

Update 2

Fraser of Fraser Eng is such a lovely man. I asked the insurers to send me pix of bent chassis rails to send to him. Received the images this morning and they had already been sent to Fraser! Despite of being the other end of the country the insurer, we'll Halo, who have been given the job, seem to think Fraser thinks he can repair it.
Will keep you posted.

Covid update. J negative and I'm still positive. Feel fine.

Yes, the chap in charge of the repair/ write off at Halo is waiting for a reply from Goldschmidt about how to shore up so it doesn't happen again.

Was going at about 50. But the presence of cones there indicate others had had an issue.

Know Stonehenge well!

Glad I recommended him.

I'm certain it's the way to go. The cost of transporting your 'van will be costly but surely it must be worth it to save your pride and joy!
