You may need to ask admin to explain this to you.Hi everyone… have been with AIB a couple of years now and had good prices both times. I had a problem though getting the wild camping discount. In the end I did get the discount but not through the wild camping route. Any ideas what I might have been doing wrong to be turned down on the wild camping discount as I would much rather get the wild camping discount than having to go through a different route?
Not really. You would normally claim off the insurer, not the agent.Just used AIB to insure Motorhome was with another insurance company Head battered with lots of online quotes, but one call to AIB sorted cheaper than current quote so happy.
But I guess it not until you need to claim you find out about reliability.
I have nothing but praise for AIB, I have been with them for five years now car and van. Prices did go up this year, that’s not guf it’s a fact. One issue that created the rise was the lack of parts which meant cars were taking longer to repair, meaning hired car costs rose significantly. Also the price of these parts has doubled in many cases over the past three years. My quotes increased by around 15-20% but from what I gather that’s normal. Anytime I phone them I get through in a minute or so, and they have always been very helpful. In their defence when I was very suddenly in possession of two motorhomes a couple of months ago (old and new) and I didn't know if the new one would fit on the drive, have to go into storage or end up parked on the road they spent ages helping me and finding cover for the various scenarios. Nobody else I spoke to did any of that and online wasn't much cheaper when I started looking myself. Still ended up a lot more than I hoped but I can't fault their customer service. That adds value to me.
