    Bluetti EB70

Did consider the 200watt panel but saw somewhere which says max input on Bluetti is is 160w. We are only planning on keeping fridge on low setting (not coldest), we always fill up spare space fridge with the small cartons of frozen orange juice found they last as well as ice packs plus you can...

    Bluetti EB70

Sorry for not replying sooner, appreciate all the comments. A few points I should mention, my fridge is a compresser type so gas isn't an option, also the gas locker is only big enough fo a camping gaz 907. I would have liked to get a bigger power pack but space is limited, the EB70 will fit...

    Bluetti EB70

As my leisure battery isn't accessible taking the cupboards apart (stupid design) I've been looking at the power banks +PV panels for some extra power. I have downsized to a VW poptop so space is at a premium. I need something to charge my mobility scooter & also give me some extra power to the...

    What inverter do I need

I know the power banks have a built in inverter but depending on which we get the inverters are different power ratings. I don't want to waste money getting one that inverter is much more than we need, likewise it has to be large enough.

    What inverter do I need

This is a pic showing my scooter charger. We aren't considering long trips so charging the power bank will mainly be done before leaving home.

    What inverter do I need

To clarify, I'm not think of using the leisure battery at all for this. I am looking at the Jackery type of power bank possibly with their own solar panel to charge. As we won't be doing long trips probably get away without charging while we're away.

    What inverter do I need

I am looking at buying a power bank to use mainly for charging my mobility scooter. I thought about getting solar panel & inverter but thought a power bank would be more useful, also the leisure battery isn't very accessible . The specs of charger are Input A/C 100- 240V 2.5A max Output 54.6V...

DVLA change to van with windows

I accept that its not going to be classified as a motorcaravan, sorted abouit van with windows the dealer is going to get it done when we get the V5. Did find a couple of manufacturers/converters who are approved to be able to get the type changed to motorcaravan. In the past I've converted a...

DVLA change to van with windows

I'm about to pick up a VW camper, from what I understand it's very difficult to get it changed now to motorhome. What they seem to do is change it from Van to Van with windows, from my understanding it can make a difference to the speed limit I can drive on some roads. My question is how do I...

    Agism or Sexism Getting Insurance

I'm insured now anyway for about the same as the wife's renewal with Comfort was, didn't bother seeing what it would cost in the wife's name but I was guessing it would have been cheaper. Just annoys me that no matter what your experience or driving record there is nothing you can do about age...

    Agism or Sexism Getting Insurance

I understand that but what is there to explain both drivers are the same all other details are the same just who is named as first driver. The only difference between us is I am 4.5 years older & male? That is the point I was making, why was my quote around £150 dearer.

    Agism or Sexism Getting Insurance

Nearly all my no claims were earned on motorhomes/campervans, the wifes earned on cars. Used comparison sites to get quotes. Some did ask how the no claims was earned. Even if they don't use the no claims doesn't explain difference between me & the wife.

    Agism or Sexism Getting Insurance

That time of year again! As we only have the one vehicle & both of us have no claims bonuses we tend to alternate at least every couple of years to keep both active. I have 16 years, the wife about 12, I hadn't had insurance for 2 years so decided to get it in my name. Our current insurer...

    Connection for Inverter

The inverter wires are ring type. The batteries are post terminals with clamp connectors. Hopefully if rain ever stops plan on going away for Easter so have a good think for easiest solution. Thanks for the replies given me a few ideas, will also see if I can fit the inverter close to hardwire...

    Connection for Inverter

Don't have crimper or blowtorch & my small soldering iron not up to the job, do they have something similar with screw terminals. Not enough space by batteries to hard wire it.

    Connection for Inverter

I'm looking for a way I can connect inverter to leisure batteries via some sort of plug. At the moment I'm using clips & have to leave the seat up while charging. Ideally I would like a plug & socket but want something better than a cigarette type plug. I only need the inverter for charging the...

    Bluetooth Phone Radio Volume

We have a 2019 Fiat Ducato camper, when I use the hands free phone on Bluetooth I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear it. This means at the end of the call I have to quickly turn the volume down or get blasted at full volume. Is there anyway to set the default volume for phone calls...
