You can do much worse than subscribe to OS maps online service ...Yes, I need to start doing this again, when we started I used OS maps. The apps have made me lazy!
Now £20 for the night. How things change!Bangor pier is another good spot amazing views only £3 for the night and £2 to go on pier
You can get access to OS maps for free on a PC through Bing Maps. You can do much worse than subscribe to OS maps online service ...
OS Maps app | Digital map app
Official OS Maps app: accurate, up-to-date routes for running, hiking, cycling and walking! Detailed maps on your phone, desktop or tabletshop.ordnancesurvey.co.uk
Less than £30 a year and gives you access to all OS maps in different scales plus route planning for walks/cycling etc ...
Admittedly I'm a bit of a map addict ....and love to pore over OS maps when away to find features of interest BUT
It's the last subscription I'd cancel ;-)
And incredibly useful along with Google earth for finding and scoping out spots .
Does that include all the bells and whistles like route planning and live views etc etc ?You can get access to OS maps for free on a PC through Bing Maps.

Unfortunately the option isn't there if you're using a phone and presumably a tablet.. I find it very useful for sussing out an area if I know where we are going in advance.
Not as good as the OS app, but I confess that I only use it for planning walks and occasionally measuring distances.Does that include all the bells and whistles like route planning and live views etc etc ?
We are not directly at the top of the cliff but still good views. Good value at £20pn without EHU.I've had my eye on Caerfai
I still have it Trev, but have found that Organic maps works much better.I use maps me, and then there is the wife giving directions.
Useful for casual users that don't want to spend the £20 a year for the full fat version or don't need it's extra functionality then ....Not as good as the OS app, but I confess that I only use it for planning walks and occasionally measuring distances.
I'm a fan (actually just lazy user) of Google maps, except for the lack of UK footpaths. When we were at the Cottage of Content Gathering, Google maps actually showed the footpath into the village, but not a single one of the others we walked, strange.

Another nice one with good clifftop views in Pembrokeshire is Trefalen Farm. Owners are dog lovers who are not fond of party-campers. Fantastic walking round there, close to Bosherston Lily Ponds. Morgan the Moon told us about it years ago but haven't been down there since covid. We are not directly at the top of the cliff but still good views. Good value at £20pn without EHU.
