Advice given freely is worth every penny
Review done.
Review done.
I've received a reply to my message from "Trustpilot" in which they say that I must send them documentation. The salient portion is quoted below:I got an email from them today, saying they had removed 6 reviews, which is a bit annoying as I know they were all genuine. And I can see that those reviewers, such as yourself, will be equally annoyed after spending time writing a review and having thrown back at them.
This is what Trustpilot say ...
"We’ve emailed each reviewer to let them know that their review has been removed, and we’ve asked them to get in touch with us if there’s been a mistake. If a reviewer disputes our decision and can document that they've had a valid experience, we can reinstate their review".
I wonder how many reviewers will spend more time collecting some kind of documentation that can validate their review when it could just get rejected again?
Geoff, I really appreciate the time taken for you to respond to Trustpilot and I hope your effort is not wasted for both of us, as it no doubt makes you (and anyone else with rejected reviews for any businesses) less inclined to bother again
Of course, there is no such documentation since (as I noted in my review) I haven't actually bought anything. If nothing else, this experience has reinforced that reviews are not everything. Yours is not the only business I've recommended to others based purely on pre-sales experience and customer care matters a whole lot more than slick sales IMO.Your review was removed because we couldn’t verify its authenticity. However, if you send us documentation of your experience with wildebus.com, we’ll see if it’s enough to verify your review and get it back online.
Here’s what you can do:
1. Find your order confirmation, receipt or similar. It should ideally show: the name of the business, your name, the date, and a reference number (order ID, customer ID, etc.). See more on what we look for here.
2. Send your documentation as an attachment in a reply to this email.
FWIW, notice that my review had been removed was received on Tue, 13 Sep 2022 21:20:36 +0000 following confirmation and initial publication on 10 Sep 2022 10:35:29 +0000 (UTC). i.e. my review was removed about two-and-a-half days after it was initially accepted.Weird, I only said he gave good advice, didn't mention forum.
"
The advice given by this company is brilliant
The advice given by this company is second to none and nothing seems to be too much trouble."
Thanks
Then the problem would be such as post #15 who has had no dealings with Wildebus yet leaves a review thinking he is doing a favour, how many others are doing the same. We will never know. Trustpilot do have to try to protect their end or they have no business as no one will trust the reviews. It's A massive problem for such sitesThey asked me for paperwork including invoices. I told them I don’t have any invoices, but if I did I would not be willing to give them any, as I regard what I paid as personal between me and the trader. Quite frankly this looks to have stemmed from what happened in March as I posted in post #35. You would think when people go to the trouble of replying to their emails that the penny would drop. I tend to agree with Fazerlos, possibly to many reviews in to short a period. But then I would have thought that any business would encourage existing customers to do what David has done. This is a real shame, because we all know on here just how helpful and knowledgeable David is, and we all replied in good faith to David’s request.
If they are serious about verification, all they have to do is come on here and take a look. But that would involve a human being actually taking part in this process, and that seems beyond their reach.
