This years Epic Summer trip

This isn't a campsite. Its a blooming city! Michelle came here as a child when it was just a few statics and a tent field. It literally is a town now. Its practically empty right now but I wouldn't fancy the swimming pool in August. Amazingly its quite well hidden. I think its almost a mile from where we are parked to the entrance. :D

Footage of the site starts around 0:58.

Wouldn't be for us Barry, far too regimented. 'twould be like going on holiday to a housing estate, albeit in a nice location.

Oh I agree Rob in the spring or summer at least. If you look at the photo I posted of our pitch though which is also on the video the motorhome field is right up the far top corner of the "big city" on its own. Right now its less than half full of motorhomes similar to ours. No kids! Just like being on a posh Aire in France really. I have had a ride around this place in summer though and it would be my worst nightmare. :D

Its got bigger since we were last on it. I just went swimming and there are four swimming pools! Thankfully a 20m adults one which I pretty much had to myself. I just can't get my head round the scale of it though. Once upon a time Flamborough was a sleepy little place that nobody had heard of.

I prefer the CL's and CS's anyday Kev.

We do stay on bigger sites sometimes but it's just a place to sleep really, unless like Barry, you can get a pitch away from the hoards.

So do I but this time of year grass is out of the question and places like this are more or less empty. Michelle likes to walk the cliffs and this place is right on them.

Lots of Seals today on the beach at the "Drinking Dinosaur". Its called that as the rock formations resemble a drinking dinosaur. :D

And a film crew here at Thornwick bay. BBC Documentary I think.
