We have had heating on with 6 amps, but if you want to boil a kettle or use a hairdryer, obviously you need to turn it off.

Yes about 1.44 kW @ 6Amp supply so one bar fire and odds 'n charging etc . one kw of heating struggles to heat this van at 4c outside so gas supplement needed.

My biggest mistake was buying a van with Albert hall size living quarters and a palatial bathroom that Mrs D likes to use ten times a day with a puny sized gas locker!

Actually its worked out ok really. If we were not on hookup for the past two weeks and all next week though we would be knackered now as the heating is on 24/7. Its a big space to heat and whilst the gas heating is superb it don't half drink the gas.

See the fact the heating is on 24/7 , would that not indicate you are no longer on a summer trip ?

I'm afraid not as its that warm in here Im still wearing shorts and a T shirt and toddled off to go swimming earlier in said shorts, t shirt and flip flops, in the sunshine I might add. So its very much still a summer thread. Sorry. Having said that we are now getting battered by 40mph winds and rain. Im sure it will be gone in a minute and summer will resume.
