Crikey this thread has had rather a lot of views!
The original posting was an email that alike a lot of others does the rounds and is quite an old one,but it just goes to show that we are all hankering back to what we believe to be the good old days.The ones where you could smack your naughty child and chastise them, you had to be indoors by 9 o clock(well i had to be anyway) and the local bobby was afforded respect.There is something wrong with politics when the BNP are getting votes, as voters are desperate to give british politics a kick up the arse.
We also lived in a world where children were allowed to play outside ,now they are indoors playing on computer consoles with parents fearing that if their kids go outside that they would be running a great risk of being abducted by paedophiles,when in fact the risk is no better or less than it was then.
Having said that if child molesters and rapists were perminently kept out of the public domain it may go some way to allay peoples fears.
Somewhere along the way it went very very wrong..........

Its always good to have a ding-dong debate and then end up on something you can all agree on. Just a couple of things (but don't take them the wrong way):
1. I cannot say that I got "upset" with the thread on generators; I was simply expressing a view that is shared by many (and not by others). And that one will run and run......
2. You said in an earlier posting that you have always wanted to visit Petra. I urge you to go; it will be a wonderful experience and all the Arab towns and cities I have ever been to are safer to wander around on a Friday night than most English ones.
