Perfect weekend

How nice to be rushing to post this so that I can get away overnight in the Tranny :)

Having had a couple of quiet days at home, during which time I've been "busy" outside in the sunshine, doing outdoor jobs instead of paperwork, emails, reports, articles and housework inside the house, I've had a lovely day at a craft workshop in Shap Village Hall making a Nuno Felt scarf - Nuno Felt is when you bond raw sheep fleece (cleaned and dyed lovely colours) onto a fabric such as fine silk or muslin, using water, soap and elbow grease - the fleece shrinks and bonds into felt onto the fabric and you can end up with some lovely results. I'm very pleased with my flowery nuno felted silk scarf I made and it was good to have a "girly" day and chatter with like-minded people about crafty things, the local village show, dogs, shops, general gossip etc.

Then to come home with the prospect of a lovely summer's evening ahead, with a weather forecast of the same for tomorrow when I'll be spending the day outdoors at an informal fun team dog competition with friends from our dog training association tomorrow down in Lancashire, what better way to spend the evening than rushing round throwing food and clothes in the Tranny, before an hour's drive to stay overnight with permission in a farmer's field tonight. And to top it all, I'll miss Eurovision as I'll be driving!!

Hopefully I can blag a 2nd night in the field tomorrow and as I don't have to be home till Monday lunchtime, I can have another lovely wild camping evening tomorrow.

What have you all been up to this weekend? Hopefully out and about in your respective MHs enjoying the weather and finding some lovely spots to stay. Some photos would be good so please post some.

That's all, got to dash as Eurovision's beginning and I want to get away from it, and I need to go and bring in the 3 sheep fleeces from last summer which I've been washing and drying over the past few days for van insulation. It's nearly shearing time again so I needed to make some space for some more fleeces this year!

Looking forward to hearing your sunshine weekend stories and seeing photos.... :have fun:

Not quite the perfect weekend, but it keeps 'her' happy:)
The 'lady of the manor' wanted a stone planter, so the last two weekends were spent granting her wish.

I got a red neck from the sun, but it is almost finished, however, that did not stop her from wanting the soil in, and the flowers planted!!!

We were supposed to be going away for our 1st night but got sidetracked yet again.....the van ended up having a new exhaust on it, but next weekend is a definate and the weekend after we have another meet so its all good, and as far as I know the sunshine is here to stay:banana:. I am just enjoying spending time in the sunshine with my new girly friend 'my van'.

No van for us this weekend , been to a family BBQ for lunch which was nice and then to friends for a quick visit before they go tourning Europe (in a car not a camper) Paired the ipad up to their sky so we now have SkyGo for in our van

Hi Lotty when do you go on your big trip ???.....

We spent the day getting away from our new neighbours.

They moved in a couple of weeks ago and are a lovely young couple, but this morning the wife headed for the hills with her mother, which should really have given me a clue. Her husband spent the morning drilling and banging as he installed a woodburner. We headed for the garden centre and out of curiosity I checked the thermometer in the camper this evening...95 degrees Fahrenheit !!!!!!

Have a great weekend WVW :) I'm intrigued by all your craft work... I used to do quite a lot but lost my way somewhere a couple of decades back.

Great job on the planter Beemer... I might get his nibs working on one of those ;)

Lotty, thank you - you've just made me look up SkyGo... I had absolutely no idea! #oblivious :rolleyes2:

Herbenneeeee! Can't wait to meet your new girly friend in a couple of weeks. So is that a clue to her name then... vanna, vanda, vanessa? Enquiring minds want to know :D

I'm working this weekend :( Typical isn't it... nothing in the diary for 3 weeks and it rains... book a few days at work and it's wall to wall sunshine!

Have a great time all of you who are getting away.

Nice job, although not sure why you would want to put a fridge vent in there???:dance::dance:

WVW havent been up to Shap in ages but coming up to Kendal next weekend for a few days.

I'm snug & comfy in bed in the tranny, next to a big barn in a farm compound in a big field in deepest East Lancashire. I've got to be up in 6 hours but am buzzing from caffeine overdose so I'm just enjoying the moment - total silence except for the dog snoring, a lovely clear starry sky, & the promise of a lovely day ahead :)

Himbenny thinks I am a crack pot:wacko: but nothing new there he just rolls his eyes :rolleyes2: and goes along with it........:lol-053:

Ah! That is the problem.... spend weekends building a workshop or off in the MH? mmmm, it's a toughie!:)

I took a lot of convincing/blackmailing to build a small planter for the 'trouble n strife'!

Can't wait to meet Flora! Love the name and the sentiment behind it :) Ships and houseboats get names - often houses too - so why not homes on wheels

love the name, how lovely to name her after your grandmother. it was ment to be

Ours is called 'Flo' - Nina says it is for 'Go With the Flow', I reckon it's Andy Capp 'n Flo..............:juggle:

We aren't going anywhere for at least six weeks - Nina has just had one of her bunions sorted, so we now have stiches out and medical visits to make before the all clear.

There was a lovely upside to this - we saw our nesting blue tits help their young fledge this morning - the first time we have ever been home and lucky enough to see - fantastic!:egg::baby:

the downside is that I have managed to strangle the washing machine, choke the hoover, defrost the fridge and axe murder the dishwasher (that's probably for the 'Loner' thread elsewhere on the forum:banana:

ps
Can anyone tell me which way up the iron works please?
