Would it now be safe to assume that CP tyres (Continental CP tyres, at least) don't break the laws of physics, and weight does indeed somewhat dictate the correct pressure they are run at ? If I have understood the chart correctly.

Or is it still the case, that regardless of load, you run them at 5.5 bar, unless you find the ride too harsh, when you can reduce pressure to 4.5 bar. regardless of load and any difference in what people may consider a harsh ride or not?

Here is a we fact, if tyres are under inflated they wear in the centre if over its the middle.

No idea. After 9 pages I'm still none the wiser. No answer from Conti and how old is the chart posted above? I have to drive 160 miles tomorrow which will almost all be motorhome miles but it might give me some idea.

Chart is from 20/21 (the clue is on the front of the data book :p) certainly has the current CP tyres.

Conti's answer is on the chart.

Conti's answer is on the chart.

Unless I am missing something I don't see a date on this. Where was it taken from? Not entirely sure what all the columns refer to either.

TJBi posted the link in #30, this a was cut and paste from that, don't you worry we'll do the leg work for you, I know some are not pute literate. 😜

If I have read that chart right assuming about 1800 kg on the front and about 2100 on the back fully loaded thats 50 PSI in the front and 65 PSI on the back. That seems ridiculously low. 5.5 bar or 80psi was supposedly what they are supposed to be but none of the weights within the axle limits on that chart are that unless its over the max 2400kg on the rear.

Still as clear as mud.

Who said "what they are supposed to be"?
I can't comment about psi, but 4.5 bar is not daft for rears at the sort of weight that you're indicating. When working out my tyre pressures, I allow for maximum load of fresh water (near the front) plus maximum load of grey water, the latter being very much on the rears.
