I've found a Shell station that's still selling LPG! I thought they'd all binned it.
It's at Keighley Service Station, Hard Ings Rd, Keighley BD21 3NH.
79.9p per litre, which is quite cheap now.
It's shown as a Texaco on FillLPG, but it's Shell now

I think that Texaco owned filling stations stopped doing LPG, but that didn't affect filling stations owned by other companies, which happened to sell Texaco fuel.

There have been supply issues with LPG in recent months, and Morrisons' new owners have no interest in selling LPG, so they hiked their price to above the going rate to help drive demand down.

Those two factors have made LPG look a bit ropey, but the reality is that it is still available, and it is still is cheaper than diesel.

A litre of LPG is about 7KWh, which makes it 11.4p per KWh at 80p per litre.
A litre of diesel is about 10KWh, which makes it about 14.5p per KWh at £1.45 per litre.

Should have gone to Charlie's place in Thirsk Wully.

When I called in last Thursday the whole petrol station at Morrisons Port Talbot was closed for a 'make over' - whatever that means.
They had been closed for about a week, I think, and there were various tradesmen's vans dotted around the forecourt but no obvious indications of the LPG being stripped out.
We shall see.

Mentioned elsewhere but the Coop now Asda in Broadford has been totally refurbished, no water there or in the old loos opposite the car park, 50p to pee, but the LPG pump is now with the regular pumps, this was last week.

Water can be got from the skye camp site (£3) a few hundred yards towards Portree, showered and elsan extra.

May I request that this thread is now closed for comments.

It has been live for over a year and been posted to over 100 times.
Most of the posts have been about the pros & cons of wild camping having our own LPG station data.
We have received details of under 30 stations and most have been Morrissons who are stopping supplying LPG, whilst the remainder are already searchable on S4S.

Those that we have received are unstrutured and unsearchable so are not worth a great deal.

Sadly the thread has failed to achieved the worthy aims that campervanannie had for it.
Leaving it open in this form can only cause confusion and frustration.

S4S is very out of date though.

I'd leave this for now and maybe have a mod check and remove any erroneous ones.

I think you have to make that request to Admin as only he can stop comments on a thread
