The Monarchy being above politics is a myth, I'm afraid. The Monarch has the right to influence new laws that don't suit [the Queen had a right of veto over some 160 such laws], and King Charles has, and has used, similar rights to alter laws that don't suit him; and Buck House retained a right of veto over the broadcast content of the Coronation, arguably the ultimate propaganda toolMacron rules the country as he was elected to do like it or not and at the moment many French do not. Our Parliament does the same as it’s members were elected to do. The monarch does not take an active part in politics and is above it, you cannot compare the French system with the Monarchy they are like chalk sand chess.
