If thinking bout heading to Arran, check ferry availability.

Fixed, usual BBC Scot propaganda anti Scot Gov. Back in service
Hello, I used the BBC link as I give them more credibility to other news outlets, perhaps I am naive? Further reports of repairs by divers are sketchy, see following.

"A dive team were deployed to find and repair the crack, which was discovered on a weld seam.

A CalMac spokesperson said on Saturday: “Repairs to the hairline crack on a weld seam on MV Glen Sannox have been completed.

“A preliminary test indicates the welding has been successful, but a second test will be carried out tomorrow morning when the welded area has completely cooled." (C&P from Herald)

With divers involved, it is fair to say hull repaired on the outside at or near the water line, no mention of any internal hot work undertaken? Unless pre and post weld heat treatment was required, the weld would cool fairly rapid. There is a real smell about this, vessel in, repaired, then back on duty within 24/48hrs, I wonder which agency signed the repair off, so quickly??

I really feel sorry for those employed at the Ferguson yard, a yard founded 1903, and now it looks like the death knell for the yard with the smaller calmac ferry build contract going to a Polish yard.

I could add more factual facts, but this would be deemed political, lets hope the Glen Sannox troubles are over?
