Heating Costs Aboard for you ?.

I've used webasto heaters in countless vehicles over the years.
They have all been fitted inside the vehicle. In both Trucks and our last CI motorhome until I bought a 2013 Chausson where it is fitted under the chassis/floor in a box.
To keep the noise down on internal fitting you should make sure it's fitted on a flat surface and torqued down evenly. It does help.
Never had any trouble with them and it's nice to read the cheap Chinese versions are working well.

Yeah, My ‘Professionally’ 🤔 Fitted Webasto on my 45ft Widebeam Barge Cruiser was actually fitted INSIDE a locker with the Exaust going through Two Bulkheads before Existing the Hull !.
The ODD thing was, The Muffler (That isn’t gas tight) actually was ‘Inboard’ under the Enclosed Wheel house Bilge (just a plywood loft up board) 🤔.
The Vessel went the numerous’Boat SAFTY Certification’ tests 😳.
Funny how things change 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I presume that was the Sea Otter Paul? I bet you miss that boat.

Hi ya,
That’s some link 😳.

What you’ve done sounds great , & if it works then all the better 👍.
I actually Wrapped the pump in insulation, Put a Foam grommet around the fixing bolt, Fitted a Fire Blanket on the INTERNAL side of the Case Shield. Then put the Whole Thing in a Fire Blanket & Furnace Wool lined Cabinet. Taking the Exaust through a Metal Heat Shield Wrapped in Furnace Wool through the floor.
Now if I’m honest YES I can hear the Tic, Tic, Tic of the Pump if I concentrate, More so at night, but it’s wayyy in the Background & easy to Zone out from. 😊

Very happy with it 2 kw in my T6.1 and I fitted an 8 kw in my 22’ 6” x 10’ 6” garage both working brilliantly.

Thanks Neil. I had looked there but couldn't find a price. I have sent them an email asking for a quote.

A quick response from Liam and yes £450 Neil. I might go for this even if it does mean a trip to Sheffield.

Thanks again.

Tell him I mentioned him Rob lol

He is running a circus themed festival next year, I was first one to get a ticket for it :)

Coalition vans completed my mates new Iveco about a month ago.
I went with him to see them when he bought the van. Good lads I'd say.

I have lpg heater works pretty well. Been away 6 weeks only used heater last week or so . I know it doesn't use too much gas but have never worked it out . That's just me .
Having said all that was on EHU a few times , often free . Think a low power, portable electric heater would be handy . Anyone got a recommendation?
I’ve got 2 400w electric heaters that i use on EHU occasionally.
One is at the Rear, One is at the front, I turn them both on initially to heat the space. I then turn the Front one off (as it’s under the bed when made up), I then turn the Electric Blanket on low. Then turn the Rear Heater down to whatever the temperature dictates.
Amazon is the start point for a search 👍😊
I often run my Electric Blanket for 3 or 4hrs on the medium setting from the inverter on chilly nights.

Some of those little electric heaters available with several different labels over the years claim 400w, some 450w. We have one indoors, when in failed it turned out to be the overheat device, now crimped together works fine - do not cover!
