Fridge Vent covers

This is why I said take the van, it'll do it good anyway in a few weeks get the oil round the engine free of the brakes.

BTW your drive is flat so the handbrake should be off and in gear.

Its parked out the front just now since we got back. PIA on the drive, can't get the bike out and I decided I dont like leaving them on the front even with a cover on as Suzuki spokes are made of marzipan and will probably dissolve. :D

Got a reply from Lee at Magnum who is very helpful. I've suggested he should split the sets to make some LS200 only sets and LS100 only sets.

Sorry to say Dometic now only sell the winter covers in pairs you cannot purchase a LS200 winter cover on its own.
Most vans have a LS100 and a LS200 so that is how they sell their winter covers.

They don’t seem to be bothered that some customers have 2 x LS200’s or some people only want to buy one or the other.
Giving it a google There is company on ebay selling just the bottom one however it is the same price as a set see below

Im not paying £70 for two of them. I wonder if I just get the set from Magnum with the two different sizes if I could fit the long one at the top and the shorter one on the bottom. Or fit the shorter one on the top but over where the exhaust is to stop the shite going down the exhaust.

Strange Barry as I thought you would have to have a gap for the exhaust , the ones in your link do state 'to stop drafts when the fridge is not in use'.

Anyhoo, enough of this confusion, I'm off to make myself pretty before I go to the pub. 😐

I've been looking at a few other vans online (I've not told mine) and I haven't come across any without a flue in the top vent so far, I wonder if a previous owners put a bottom vent in the top for some reason, maybe never used gas but EHU.

This is the set you can buy online. The flue vent is clearly to the right of the top cover. My vents though look identical whilst the ones in the video clearly are different. I guess the idea is that you dont cover that top bit where the flue is on the top vent on the right in case you are going to use it in winter on gas I suppose. I think I could probably buy that set and just put the top one either to the left if I am going to use the fridge on gas in winter (doubtful but not out of the question) or in storage or on hookup I might be able to slide it along to the right to cover the flue.

Dunno. I might just follow uncle Tims idea and just say bollox to it.

My vents

LS200 vent covers Ebay 174318819907.

Order 2 of them, £22.80 each.

I'm on my phone so this is the easiest way.

I'm still sure the top one is incorrect, if there is fridge flue behind there surely it would discolour over time

the clip picture looks perfectly right to me.

Well it must be there somewhere. Maybe the previous owner never used it on gas. Although I would be surprised as its got solar. We used it for four months and most of that was off grid and its not discoloured yet. Ill probably now find out it comes out the kitchen window fan or something.

You could just take the cover off & look, I know you crap yourself doing van stuff but it'd answer four pages of posts.

I think the whole thing is wrong, cover and mounting, might have even been a muppet in the factory.

WTF would I take them to bits for? Wooie found the right covers and Ive ordered them. Unless Swift made every single Esprit wrong they are all the same.

No curiosity some folk, it would have been the first thing I looked at once I'd bought it, knowledge is useful, mind, you didn't even look at it before you bought it though it seems.

No, I just went backwards and forwards three or four times, checked everything, got the bloke to weigh it front and back, did all the homework on the payloads etc and joined the flipping owners group before buying it having studied the flaming van for nearly 10 years since it came out in 2014! :D Bugger me though, I never thought to take a screwdriver with me and dismantle the fridge vents just to see how they work. :ROFLMAO:
