I had to go into London by car today (near Clapham). Typing in my vehicle Reg on the TFL site I am informed that I need to pay the Congestion charge and the ULEZ charge if I drive within those zones. It doesn't mention the LEZ (Is that just for heavy goods vehicles?).

Where I went to is inside the ULEZ and LEZ but outside the Congestion charge. My problem is that en route to the address I do not know if I might have gone into the Congestion charge zone.

So, my question is, is there anywhere I can check (like a website that will have recorded my vehicle registration in the zones), or is it simply a matter of paying both the ULEZ and Congestion charges just in case I have strayed into the Congestion Charge zone? Surely the technology is there, after all the reg is picked up by ANPR so the information must be available on a database somewhere to reference?

Sorry, can't advise on your points Rob.
Just saying that when looked after a members flat in Sidenham, she sent us on a convoluted route in to avoid the charges. She also showed other ways to avoid the charges throughout our time in London. We probably saw more of London than the Cockedknees.

It’s a minefield but I’m hoping this helps Here we have a girl in the office who deals with this but can’t ask till Monday

Here

Pretty sure you can't find out, that'd bring up all kinds of data privacy issues I would have thought.

Can't you just go by the map and route taken?
I'm guessing from A1 you would have done 406 anticlockwise.

Not that I know where you were coming from :ROFLMAO:

Page not found for some reason Kev.

I think I'll just pay both charges as it's cheaper if payed by midnight tonight!

Could do Mark but I veered off the main route a couple of times (I went down the A41 to Vauxhall Bridge), once when I took the wrong lane and no b@stud would let me back in and once when the satnav knew better!

London was so busy this afternoon (something to do with the Lord Mayors Show) that it was very hard to concentrate on signage. Scooters, pushbikes and those bloody e-bikers (😄) coming at me from all angles. And don't get me started on those buses. And another thing, the last 5 miles or so was all 20mph limits I ask you!

Not that I'm one to moan.

And if you went within the circle if the M25, or the north and south circular it’s pretty clear

Oh the joys of driving in London.

Once broke down on Hyde Park corner, the out pouring of sympathy from Lardenrs was very emotional. They beeped in support, shouted commiserations and waved their fists in solidarity. One even spat at us incase we were thirsty.
Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.

Wonder how steptoe and son would have got on with old Hercules and all this modern congestion BS. Looks like the only way round this crap is to buy a horse Rob.
Wully, Rob has no time for chickens, let alone a horse!!

Yeah I just paid the ULEZ which the postcode I went was in, and the Congestion charge just in case I strayed into it.

Thanks Kev.
