Yes but as you have yourself posted Rob, England is so densely populated now, and parking issues are much greater in England due to this than any other part of the U.K.The Police CAN be assholes anywhere Bill, including Scotland - I've had direct experience of this.

I may be wrong here, but from what I see here this is symptomatic of that very situation.
I have had personal experience of police heavy handed ness up here, I was merely referring to the situation on the video.
Of course they do Rob. Police abuse of powers should not be tolerated anywhere. It doesn't mean though Bill that "Things in England and Wales really need sorting out" due to the actions of one group of Police officers in one county who to be fair are under quite a lot of pressure when Appleby Fair is on.
Police abuse of powers needs stamping out everywhere, including Scotland and Ireland and everywhere else in the world come to that!
To a degree I understand and go with you.Difficult to tell without the whole story...from that clip
The above is one person's side of the story with a selection of edited together clips.
I've seen these sort of clips so many times from so called "auditors" and drone operators....
I've become somewhat cynical these days.
To a degree I understand and go with you.
The trouble is nowadays with all the "misinformation" that has been used, I always say now that its on social media so it may or may not be true. Throw in AI and its a mine field. Hence me shutting FaceAche down.
The fact for me that the police in this case seemed to give "misinformation" on a few points and the fact they also did the same to a moho owner leads me to lean a bit on the fact this maybe the case.
Towed away vehicle's could have had other "issues" shall we say re tax / mot etc.
Edited or not they seem to have a case not to pay with a few pointers on no signs etc etc.
They were and you could see them flashing...and yes as I say re other "stuff" two sides to a story. BUT it did appear that they were contradicting themselves and not giving out the full facts.I would love to see the Police video of the situation, they usually wear body cams.
But if the Police know they are being filmed, surely they are not so stupid that they deliberately ignore the laws of the land and open up a can of worms? It could well be the case that the residents of the houses they were parked outside complained about noise or anti-social behaviour (there was mention of harrassment). I doubt we will ever know the full story because if they were found to be in the wrong I doubt they would admit it on their YouTube channel.
One thing that some may not have picked up is where and when this happened, from what was said and the massive police present, this sounds like it was the Appleby horse fair, and it's so bad that most businesses, even the pubs close down, and some shops board their windows up. one of Lizs friends has a stables in Leeds and visits the fair every year to trade horses and ponies, she says it was over poiced this year as they had had a tip that there was going to be some serious trouble, that does not excuse the treatment the seem to be dealing out to innocent people though.
Disgusting, we had policing like that here which started the troubles, took 30 years to sort out the gistapo type policeing.
Time folk on the mainland stood up to them big time.
You don’t half post some nonsense.

Sorry Rob, I was responding to the OP and not read further until later. As I said in post #6 Kev.
And no it isn't an excuse to deal out unfair treatment (yet to be proved) but they are under pressure and I wouldn't want their job. Perhaps they moved them on for their own safety? I THINK the Police have the power to move people on (whether in Motorhomes, cars or on foot) if public safety or a breach of the peace is in jeopardy?
