Do we have a right to park or not

@barryd, the established channels with hundreds of thousands if not millions of subscribers can and do make staggering amounts of money especially if combined with sponsored ads affiliates etc, there’s a modest income available from around 50,000 subs upwards providing the watch hours are high enough, on the flip side my tiny channel was earning me about £300 which equated to fractions of a penny per hour!
It paid for the vans insurance or a couple of tanks of fuels but nothing else.

There’s a very good video about how much money YouTube paid to a guy who converter a tiny derelict house, that one video made a lot of money and I suspect the video about how much the video made also made a lot of money! It’s an interesting watch

The competition is intense with excess duplication and plagiarism of pretty much everything e.g. just how many tens of thousands of videos do we really need showing how to install a diesel heater or boil an egg etc!

A lot of people don’t do it for the money and many good channels aren’t monetised or the uploads are so infrequent that they’ve been demonetised, a few years ago YouTube didn’t push adverts to non monetised channels and I only monetised mine when they changed that policy and decided to push adverts to everything

FYI personally I never have to watch adverts nor most of the sponsored bs, I use the truly fantastic app called smarttube on my firestick which cant show adverts and has the fantastic SponsorBlock tool built in

Interesting stuff cheers. As I thought though you need millions of views to make any proper money. I wonder how that happens though. It looks like he made a video about a small house that started off getting hardly any views then all of a sudden six million. It must go viral somewhere outside of YouTube. Maybe they get mentioned in the press or TV or somewhere else on Social media. Who knows? Bizarre. :D

I have over 400 videos on youtube. Nearly all music videos I do for fun although I have an actual album of my own stuff up there and whilst 90% of it is probably crap there are some I am proud of and they have a small but niche following. Never montised it though. Seems pointless. Most get a few hundred views, a few a few thousand and the odd one ten thousand plus.

With reference to my post about clickbait YouTubers, this is the guy who is one of the biggest in the Motorhome world for the UK. Just a picture as I refuse to link to his rubbish.

Well I would have said that was for last year but it does mention 2025 so I don't know.

their are places for the horse drawn to stop but they found a lot had been mown so horses had nothing to graze and some had been banked to stop carts pulling on.
Including SOME banks that are actually flood prevention works....
Installed to protect local properties.
