Bargain lithium battery.

How about this
UK company (apparently?)
You can also buy them through Temu but they cost twice as much there (obviously Temu not so bothered about your data on this purchase)
First time I've actually seen a company stating what I've been banging on about for ages, ie you don't need a special mains charger for Lifepo4, use am ordinary lead acid charger with absorbtion and float settings and don't leave it floating for ages.

They do seem to confuse the issue though Merl because on the side of the battery it states "use only charger supplied" and of course there ain't one.

Not disagreeing with you in the slightest, it just seems a bit contradictory?

You think so.
Fact is many on line sites grab details, just went to look at martin lewis show about power of eterny, web page wanted all my details including my pictures folder and what im looking at and buying on my search engine, well me no open te he.

Take the P all you like! Temu will get your details, even through a third party, they have to have your name and address!

I love a well researched fact based helpful post🤣🤣
So tell us all your take on it! I did research about three years ago and decided I am not tight enough or poor enough to risk it! If you want to, go ahead! But tell me, what part was not based on fact?

And of course, what is the giveaway on that eBay post? What is a camera sales seller doing selling Temu batteries? It is probably Temu knowing that some of us are wise to them, trying to make it look like a legit British seller!

Correct. It is unavoidable if we want free internet services like search engines. But why deliberately offer you details including bank details, to Temu? Just to save a few quid?

Must admit it's never bothered me ordering from Temu and yes they get my name and address but that's a necessity.

I always pay by Paypal and they have no access to my password or linked bank account - I hope!
Might be worth searching "safest way to order from Temu". It does seem to be that Paypal is one of the safest, but their app is full of spy ware! You have to lock it down really tight or they can see everything you do! As I have said before, I wouldn't risk it for a few quid!

I'd say VERY contradictory 🤣
I think the battery label is a basic generic charging warning pertaining to lithium batteries.
One of the big issues with E-sccoters and Ebikes is they don't have a standard battery configuration and voltage and it's easy for a customer to buy an alternative or after market, probably faster charger for "lithium Ebike batteries" and inadvertently use a charger with an excessive high charge voltage and set the battery on fire.
Leisure Lifepo4 s are appearing in various voltages, 12, 24 and 48 volts, it would be relatively simple to end up using a 24 or 48v charger on a 12v pack. I think that's where the contradiction stems from.
A desire to inform the unknowledgeable that you MUST use the correct charger (the one supplied) and another desire to inform the slightly more savvy user that you actually don't need a special LFP profile and a (12v) lead acid profile is actually fine.

Thats how i pay to Rob, but i use web engine vivaldi with vpn on linux, vivaldi firefox and brave are the most secure, vivaldi has a free vpn.

They aren't selling Temu batteries, they are selling ultramax batteries.
UK LiFePO4 Lithium Battery Manufacturer | Industrial & OEM | UltraMax https://share.google/EqbjY29inwqaxxJh4
Why are you suspicious of a camera shop branching out and selling batteries online??
You claimed that
The are getting your bank details, you name and address so it would be easy to find out all they want.
Really? They can find out ALL THEY WANT?
And what exactly happens when they get ALL THEY WANT? In my experience sweet FA happens. I've never had a card cloned, identify stolen or an additional payment taken by ANY seller, in the UK, abroad ANYWHERE but they could. They don't because businesses Inc Temu they are NOT about steeling your ID. Or cloning your card. They just want to sell you stuff, if they cloned your card and purchased a load of stuff from your account then...
A, that would be terrible for business and they wouldn't last five minutes.
B, you'd be entitled to a refund from your card supplier anyway.
Same horror stories abound when something new arrives on the scene. Teddy boys to Japanese cars to contraceptive pills to chip and pin, contactless, smart meters to COVID jabs, windows, Alexa, body cams, facial recognition and of course AI.
I remember my elderly aunt being livid when decimalisation came in.
" It's a massive con and you lot can't see it... it's obvious they're doing it to con us all out of money.....we used to get 240 pennies to a pound and now you only get a hundred"
55 years later...,
"I'm not buying anything from the *
(Add your own racial stereotypes) Little *(add your own racial insults) ..... they're only after your data and identity" .
So... that's my take on it. You sound like an old person. 😉

Well I use windows 11 and their standard anti virus, I can't remember the last time I had a scam email, it was probably something about a Nigerian Prince wanting me to help him.move his wealth and about 20 years ago, certainly before Temu and Ali Express. You guys need to stop buying stuff over the counter in England and start buying direct from China, you wouldn't get your cards cloned🤣🤣

I've only used it once ever I think. This thread reminded me I need a 47 piece rechargeable power drill and screwdriver set so I can become a DIY motorhome repairer expert so I just ordered one for just over a tenner on Temu. Is some little Chinese fella gonna empty my bank account now or turn up on my doorstep and try and recruit me as a spy? :D
