There certainly is a definitive answer.I bet I've been to more departments (Certainly every region) than most people on this forum! Its been a while though.
Still no definitive answer on the speed limit then on motorways. Looks like ill go with 110 on motorways and 80 on normal roads. Ish.
Im not worried about the French kids nicking my Angela Monger stickers as they are under the drivers seat. For now at least. Ive stuck on me Critical Aires number 2 and the UK on the back of the van and the bike. That will do.
There certainly is a definitive answer.
I understood they were compulsory on over 3,5 tonnes so you should use them maybe the Police would not stop you without them BUT they would have INSURANCE complications if you ever had an accident with a CYCLIST or Motorcyclist so why take the risk as you have already bought them , same applies to the speed restriction stickers , and has any one bought the new warning light for breakdown etc in Spain apparently when this is activated it signals the POLICE your location as well as warning other drivers of your breakdown , I was told this by the Police that attended our Tyre Blowout homeward bound from Portugal , the warning TRIANGLES are no longer valid but I will still use them in addition to the NEW LIGHT warning when I next go ForeignIts 4.25t so I have bought them but there seem to be two camps. Those that stick them on and those that don't. There isn't a single van in the Canterbury park and ride right now with them on and some of them will be over 3.5t.
Is that regulation in place ?I understood they were compulsory on over 3,5 tonnes so you should use them maybe the Police would not stop you without them BUT they would have INSURANCE complications if you ever had an accident with a CYCLIST or Motorcyclist so why take the risk as you have already bought them , same applies to the speed restriction stickers , and has any one bought the new warning light for breakdown etc in Spain apparently when this is activated it signals the POLICE your location as well as warning other drivers of your breakdown , I was told this by the Police that attended our Tyre Blowout homeward bound from Portugal , the warning TRIANGLES are no longer valid but I will still use them in addition to the NEW LIGHT warning when I next go Foreign

This is for all the critics of 'Elf & Safety' and 'woke gone mad' etc. I took the Tiguan for a blast up the A92 yesterday to clear the DPF [Stop/Start wouldn't kick in after a couple of short, slow trips]. As I exited the 70mph dual carriageway, at the top of junction, I saw a man, leaning out into the road and gesticulating frantically; the road becomes a blind bend 30m further on, and on its crown was the man's dead Pick Up, sans Warning Triangle or other warning. Tig's neew brakes work really well, and the steering is still very responsive ... I'll find out later today how good the new detergent is on my underwearInternational Use of the V-16 Warning Light and Triangles Explained

This link and other news outlets state (including N332) that foreign vehicles do not need a V16 warning light, but must continue to carry and use warning triangles. I think though it would be sensible to buy and carry a V16 light as anything that avoids turning a simple breakdown into an accident with potential danger to life makes sense to me.

Good point they were everywhere this year, can't say I noticed last year WTFIGO.And just to add to your confusion Barry, how will you approach the villages and roads with a 3.5ton limit sign, or the 3.5ton sign with a subsidiary plate with a truck pictured on it.
That monster truck of yours is a dead giveaway with or without the Angela Merkel welcome stickers.

That reminds me, we saw a few of the triangular shaped roadside speed cams, they don't like em at all, we say one very black on that had been on fire, another had been sprayed and one on it's side in a ditch, but mostly we saw very few cameras at all, but loads of 30kph limits, and even 20kph in some old towns, but the very worse thing for me was the Zebra crossing speed humps.I used to always get flashed by cameras every year but never heard anything back but I hear they can follow you home now so best be careful. It won't be so much of an issue after Wednesday. Got 450 miles to get a wiggle on tomorrow and Wednesday then it will be bimble mode for pretty much the next three months.

I'd of course not bugger about, and just put them on.Angles Mortes stickers yay or ney?
If the silly buggers are so myopic they can't see a big whitish box, and have not understood that they will get squished if they get in the way after reading the signs on all the other trucks etc, then it maybe serves them right The voice of reasonwildcamping.co.uk
The Spanish system is not available to visiting tourists. It requires registration with the authorities.I understood they were compulsory on over 3,5 tonnes so you should use them maybe the Police would not stop you without them BUT they would have INSURANCE complications if you ever had an accident with a CYCLIST or Motorcyclist so why take the risk as you have already bought them , same applies to the speed restriction stickers , and has any one bought the new warning light for breakdown etc in Spain apparently when this is activated it signals the POLICE your location as well as warning other drivers of your breakdown , I was told this by the Police that attended our Tyre Blowout homeward bound from Portugal , the warning TRIANGLES are no longer valid but I will still use them in addition to the NEW LIGHT warning when I next go Foreign
84 and counting (and that doesn't include ones that I've driven through without stopping).I bet I've been to more departments (Certainly every region) than most people on this forum! Its been a while though.

I agree . Chances of getting done are probably close to zilch . But , as someone who got fined 40 euro for not having GB [pre UK] sign , I would tooI'd of course not bugger about, and just put them on.
