Angles Mortes stickers yay or ney?

So France in the morning. I've bought three removable Angles Mortes stickers but they look bloody awful so I don't want to put them on.

Glove box?
Bin them; they're non-compliant. You need Angles Morts stickers.

Put them on one trip, and on return home took nearly a week to remove all the glue residue, and I kid you not.

Replacements are in the glove box. The brick weights in at 4.24t too.
There is a very good product called 'Sticky Stuff Remover'. You can use it to remove sticky stuff. ;) :giggle:

If you do decide to use them, bear in mind you are advertising the fact that you are over 3.5 tons and are subject to lower speed limits, largely only relating to motorways were you are subject to lower limits sticker or no sticker.

Davy

Bloody hell! Even on a motorway its just 90 kph if over 3.5t. Ill lose the will to live!! Some say 110kph but I think its 90.. 90 kph on A roads as well but thats for every vehicle I think.

110 kph, but they have plenty of 80 kmh restrictions for over 3.5t. Typically going downhill for eg. You have to keep your eyes open for the signs.

Its confusing though as most of the info I am seeing says 90kph for motorhomes over 3.5t on French motorways which is ridiculous.

Looks like it is 90 kmh, with 80kmh restrictions when signed.

So pleased Sprinters are exempt.

When we were in France recently, a friend who lives there told us Gendarmes often have a purge on motorhomes at the autoroute exits. They check docs and weight etc, so I would expect them to notice the absence of A M stickers.

So more conflicting advice. 90 kph or 110 KPH over 3.5t on motorways. I'm going with 110kph. They won't know if we are over 3.5t anyway unless of course as said you have three massive Angles mong stickers on. 😁

They have these limits on the backs of trucks to advise.

Split the difference and just go at 100kph You might get away with it then. ;)

Changing my mind back to 110 kph.

Probably to do with N2 and M1's being treated differently. Still an official source would be handy.
