This is a public carpark, it has been a public carpark for decades. But it’s a public carpark which allows overnight parking with limited facilities. The only difference being you are only allowed to park overnight in a car or a motorhome in certain designated areas of the carpark. Today we are heading for the Aire at Lochore. This was set up purely for motorhomes, no other types of vehicles are allowed. It has only ever been an Aire. I have never been to an Aire which allows cars to park. On SFS this place is designated as a car park with facilities. Fife coastal trust refer to their carparks, no mention of them being Aires. But if you and others want to refer to a carpark where you can spend the night an Aire, then so be it.Aires are often public car parks ? Not sure why you think it is not an aire

Motorhomes and campervans can park overnight at some of our car parks on a first come first served basis. See on-site signage for charges.
