Could be recognised by the pope for all MFG are concerned....

MFG sent out a bulletin in September clarifying the situation.

Sorry, what is mcc?
Merchant Category Code, a four-digit number used (mainly by credit card companies" to classify businesses for payment processing.

e.g MCC 5411 for grocery stores, MCC 5812 for restaurants,

MCC 5983 classifies businesses primarily engaged in selling fuels.
This category includes a diverse array of energy commodities, such as fuel oil, wood, coal, and liquefied petroleum.

I have no idea what @The laird means by "the system is recognised by the mcc etc "

Maybe he means Marylebone Cricket Club and there is some obscure rule about LPG cylinders that are part of the LBW decision.
Don't ask me what LBW is, because it is more complicated than the off-side rule.

Sorry, but I've never heard of mcc (or caravan and motorhome council) and was trying to guess who / what you meant.

Don't make everyone suffer by stopping posting, just blank me

Will have to speak with Charlie for clarification but I seem to recall that R67 cylinders when fitted to the standard are classed as tanks not portable cylinders. Its a technicality I know and end of the day they probably would still refuse but if they are saying vehicle tanks...

Dull one Gordon. What I do not understand is the following. You have an external fill point that meets the same standard as a ICE/LPG duel fuel car (dfc), yet you can no longer fill at Morrisons. Your system meets the fitting and testing standard as an ICE/LPG (dfc) yet you cannot fill your tanks, bizarre.

Where I find this discrimination even more infuriating is, EG: Channel tunnel, ICE/LPG (dfc) cannot use the tunnel, yet we can travel the tunnel with gas tanks of all sorts, underslung, etc. Of course tank valves are OFF, prior to boarding train.

IMO, when I fill my SafeFill tanks, tank is removed from motorhome and I fill away from our van, to me, and taking safety to the extreme, filling my tank as a standalone tank, away from derv fueled motor is something were to go wrong, is surely safer? There has to be more to this Morrisons decision, we should all boycott Morrisons if you can?

Although not ideal for you Gordon, Install Oil near me has so much LPG, they are selling it, just ff the A1, more or less behind B&Q. If you do decide to use install, let me know, I'll make sure I'm available so you can buy me that pint you promised me years ago.

Anyhoooo, next time you correspond with Anas, tell him he is An Ass.

Hi Gordon, sorry to hear your woes.
I’m in Poland right now and every garage I have seen sells LPG. But it seems like things are getting harder in the UK. But what happened to you seems wrong when you have a complaint system, hope you manage to refill elsewhere.

All this " tell them you are allowed to and you have proof " is a load of bollox in my mind. You could have an encyclopedia full of proof but ..................................

If the fuel station operative will not allow it then they will not let you fill as Gordon says but down here in Ingerlandshire we say ...... pissing in the wind

What system have you got that they refused to allow to be filled? And if you have a fill point where is it please.

If you have an external filler just stick one of these above the filler. Mwahahahahaha! :D Sneaky huh?

While it is undoubtably annoying we must remember that MFG were supposedly removing all LPG from their forecourts a couple of years back is it?

Not sure about the rest of the country but here in Hull Morrisons LPG is 99.9 ppl which puts it the same cost as the premium sited garages so no reason for me to go to them anyway. Still plenty of other places around here selling LPG and as I don't use that much I never have a problem.

I only go to Morrisons here if I want to use the Post Office as it has one inside, usually avoid them everywhere as they are too expensive anyway.

But their meat is great.

Chateaubriand from Morrisons for Dinner tonight (£45 a kg, Waitrose is £75). [Family birthday tradition]

My local Morrisons has never had an LPG pump.

Seems to be a lot of inconsistency across Morrisons store Gordon. I believe the nearest one to us (Cambourne) still allows filling Gas bottles.

I don't understand why they would not want to sell it to anybody who has a refill cap on the side of the van, why would this be any different to refilling a cars main tank?

I stated no adapter required and is same as a tank installed fill point but the reply was xxxxxxx I was blocking the aisle for 90 mins 30 of which were on the phone to this dept let's bombard them😁here a copy of the card
UP THE MOTORHOMERS ,UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL
