What is needed?

I have this setup, switch on dash and a 200ah relay using proper battery cables to link up, great for emg start

Most leisure batteries are not designed to take starting currents it can bend and distort the plates. In an emergency you could use jump leads but they would have to be quite long.

If a power bank is basically a battery in a box chances are it'll get chucked under the bed and forgotten and battery will be flat when it's needed. And it's unnecessary weight. The ones at garages or in recovery vehicles are charged regularly.

I carry a set of decent jump leads , prefer to jump from another running vehicle., but could remove the leisure battery from its hole at the rear and move it to where the jump leads will reach it. Depends on the lb state of charge, Or wait for the aa

They weigh very little and are very compact these days. Mine holds it's charge for several months.

My problem is remembering to transfer it from the car to the van!

Much more simple to just fit the relay and switch, this dont go flat and no moving of batteries which may require shutting down solar panels to save the regulator, never understood why folk like to do things the hard way when there is a simple fit and forget method.

I did read somewhere though Trev that you shouldn't really jump start from a LIFEPO4 leisure battery. I've no idea why that should be though?

Mine’s about the size of a 1970’s mobile phone ,it started my van last September in Cornwall and it’s still almost fully charged.

I got one of these for our Hybrid as we couldn't get info on how long the EV battery would last for 6 weeks or more on the drive.

It was a none delivery so they sent another then a week later a neighbour brought it around they'd left it in her shed so I have one for the van too, I've charged them both once already but they seem to hold it well.

I have 2 x 30amp mains chargers I use with the genny when I need to recharge hab batteries. One is screwed down but the other is lose so I can use elsewhere. If I need to I just plug into inverter and connect via Anderson cables to starter battery for 15 minutes. I used to take genny to front and charger but this way is less lifting/messing around.

I have had one of the small starter packs for years but find if starter battery is under 12.2v it won’t start my sprinter

If you let the power flow for about 10 mins then disconnect you will get fire in the donkey, handy with switch & relay. ;)
No damage to liths then.

I used to have a similar setup to you in my old motorhome Trev. Got me out of trouble on a few occasions with the flick of a switch.
