Wild camping banned in the whole of Wales

I replied to the thread "wildcamping are we welcome in Wales", last week Wednesday and Thursday nights I parked up in 2 different places in Wales one was a picnic area near Llandovery and the other village hall car park near Aberaeron, with no problems. I think you will find it is mainly bad parking in hotspots like around Snowdon although there are plenty of places in Snowdonia where I would be happy to park up. Pembrokeshire has always been a bit more difficult but there are some places and a few pubs in the area that would be more than happy for the custom its just a case of being sensible. I have next weekend off and I will be around Wales somewhere and don't anticipate any trouble.

I am at LLanberris now, the amount of cars part blocking roads and half parked on grass verges is obscene, quite q few T5s and the like doing similar.
Am heading to Aberystwyth in the morning Ill report back.
Will be interested in what you find, there seems to be a few places which are quite but the majority seem to be very busy.

Today, at the start of the A498 near the turn for Pen-y-Pass there were loads of yellow signs on the roadside warning that cars would be towed if they parked there. Looking at where they were I can well understand that they would causing an obstruction as there is very little verge to park on.

Not at all, I am simply saying park your motorhome where it's allowed to be parked and no one will bother you.
Sorry but aren't you repeating what I thought you said earlier, or do you mean where you are not positively discouraged from overnighting by law?

I park on street, a place away from homes and not near to anybody that might get excited. Have done this ever since it became too difficult to use a carpark.
The downside is the local boy racers who find you and set about making a lot of noise racing up and down and with horns.

I thought so too but I'm sure the police moved people on (who were asleep) in Cornwall who were parked on the road...should they have not done so?
Probably not, police moved a good number of full timers during lockdown that they shouldn’t have. As they started to allow day trips though there were a number of day trippers who decided to overnight that did get moved rightfully.

There are millions of places in the UK where you can legally park a motorhome beyond your drive, a campsite or a car park.

Yes I realise that I have owned a Motorhome/Campervan for a good few years now and have driven all of the UK so know where I can park a Legal Vehicle LEGALLY

It is quite simple, you park where you are legally allowed to, is that so hard to understand, or are you advocating illegal 'wild camping'.

Not hard to understand I was not born yesterday and please expand what you mean by illegal "wild camping"

Well maybe you would like to look at some other threads on this site, maybe you don't know but there's one about illegal wild camping in the lakes. Funny enough though I seem to have noticed you posting on it.

So are you saying there are many on this site who are illegal Wild Camping.?This site this Forum is actually (as you well know)called wild camping. That thread relating to The Lake District on which I had to put you straight on a few points is referring to some unfortunate people who were moved on at Midnight. It still hasnt been established if they were doing anything illegal.

And your post earlier was asking me If I was advocating illegal Wild Camping and I have asked you to expand on what you call illegal wild camping BUT you still havent given a satisfactory reply.

As the person who made the video admitted to knowing the law, and therefore no doubt knew what he was doing was illegal your ''put you straight' comment is bullshitting, you haven't put anyone 'straight', just arguing for the sake of it, with that in mind I will adopt the position of some other members and not bothering to respond to you as it's obvious you are only interested in your own opinions.

A few points putting you straight so no Bullshitting. Please think each post reply through before your fingers attack them keys. And yes feel free to adopt any position you like as your opinion suits you and mine suits me and thats fine by me. No im not interested in just my own opinions im interested in the facts the truth and am happy to take on board other members on here comments. Its a forum. And would I get any likes if other members thought I was just singing from my own Hymnsheet I doubt it! :D;)

I will clarify for you, the police where not filmed claiming a £500 fine, that was added by the blogger afterwards, I never claimed the bylaw was nationwide, a I said the same law was in all national parks, now you might try and be 'clever' by claiming it's not the 'same law' which is correct, it's a law made individually by each national park.

'I will adopt the position of some other members and not bothering to respond to you as it's obvious you are only interested in your own opinions"

Colin so you are still replying to me
here is where you claim this law is nationwide copied from your post YES your words YOUR claim

"now if you break the law it's your responsibility, and you now know of this law so have nothing to complain about the same as the person who was filmed, and don't forget it applies to all national parks in england and wales."

As I said before in reply to you I will say again to clarify for you the bylaws in the Lake District in Cumbria ONLY APPLY in the Lake District.Nowhere else.
