My most beloved is an amazingly good driver, however when we are away in 'Millie' she looks upon her time in the front passenger seat is her special time where she can totally relax and soak up the feeling that we are now well away from the vertically challenged, obnoxious, inconsiderate, bad tempered, bald headed, bearded plonker who lives next door!!

On our way to Devon on a busy Sunday and we decided to count the motorhomes and campervans we saw in one mile (15). What I noticed was the vans with couples in we’re nearly all driven by men. In fact of the next 30 vans I only saw 3 women driving ! Why is this?

Le always drives because he is a very nervous passenger - and not just with me! - I did drive our Pilote on my own but my poorly knees means I can no longer drive a manual vehicle...

Unfortunately mine is unable to drive. Not a problem for me as I enjoy driving, in fact I hate being a passenger in a car or van as I’m not in control. Not that I’m always in control of mine

Dont you know its because Swmbo"s like to be the co -pilot,to give the orders. To be in charge. Simple!

Penny13 and mickymost you are both right!! I don’t drive ours as Malcolm doesn’t like being a passenger and he enjoys driving and I like to see the views, but I also tell which way/ road to take, plus sometimes I’ve I’m not well with my neck and back!

I drive all the time...much prefer driving a larger vehicle .....have driven 7.5 ton and loved it. I always fancied driving an arctic just to prove I could.

Co pilot left much the same time sat nav came out.

I have one of those as well, bought Christina a map to try and stop the arguing. I came to the conclusion last time out that its because my sat nav has a female northern Irish accent and Christina is from the south that may be causing the arguments.

My sweetheart has never driven and never will and she is hugely useful as I have the form of dyslexia that prevents one from telling left from right so she translates what the satnav says into your side and my side. Works wonderfully well and she can concentrate on that and on feeding me sweets at intervals. Snag is we have a LHD wagon and in this country that puts her in the middle of the road rather than me, shame.
