Which spray bottle do you favour instead of flushing or bio tabs?

I know space and weight is a premium and I don't have a big fat arse, but them Patheticford seat are tiny not much bigger (if at all) than the ones you put on a proper toilet for kids to use, I like to spread my cheeks, and let it flow :D :D

Our Kontiki seat and loo is about the same size as our home one. Did you get a "Borrowers" van?

Do you dilute anything domestic, I have a couple of exhausted spray bottles I can press into service.

We're thinking of abandoning the flush as it does deplete the fresh tank over time.

We like to avoid having to fill it, last time away we managed 14 days on a 100 litre tank before filling up.
I installed a second 15 litre tank and pump for the toilet, then when I'm filling the main fresh water tank I simply open one valve and the second tank fills from the main, occasionally I'll add a splash of pink to the flush tank !

Nah, Once you've driven an 06> going back is a tough one, they just feel so heavy in comparison, even a 2.3Jtd or 2.8Jtd.

I have to say I admire the stuff you have done in Hank with a 2.5 lump.

I test drove two and I told Liz it has to be at least a Jtd either will do, not just a 2.8 either as the i.d. TD was an awful noisy lump, weird really as the designation was the same as the Jtd just with an S on the end of the engine type both were Iveco lumps but the 2.8 i.d. TD 8140.43 only had direct injection but the Jtd had common rail direct injection, 8140.43 S.

See I did my research :D :D I had to when I was going to be driving one for hundreds of miles every single day, I'm not saying the none Jtds were bad engines but they were very noisy in comparison and more thirstier too.

Ok. Well maybe when I finally get a new van ill rip the old toilet out of the Kontiki then.

Two issues I found. One is breaking it down. I think if your not moving so much it doesnt break down as good but after our winter trip over Christmas and New Year (just short of a month) we only stopped in two locations and the cassette is pretty minging. Not helped by not being able to rinse it at the first location but then I have heard that over rinsing gets rid of the bacteria that is helping breaking it down. Nothing seems to work like it used to though.
Bacteria breaking it down??? It’s not a septic tank, I would treat those tales the same as being gassed 👍

Can’t comment on the noise levels of mine as I am a little deaf, sounds reet good to be though does the 5 cylinder lump

I thought the theory was that the bio tabs / liquid or whatever added bacteria that broke down or ate the poo or whatever its that the little bacteria thingys do and that over flushing reduces the effect. What do they do to it then?

I have tried bio washing pouches and non-bio and not found any difference in performance. The cassette contents are not in there long enough for any significant bacterial breakdown to occur. But the addition of detergent in the pouches does help mechanical breakdown, that is how detergents work. Detergent also ensures the cassette rinses out well and stops build up of deposits and scale. I use the cheapest pouches I can find, usually Aldi.
The claims that Sog systems help with bacterial breakdown of solids is snake oil. They are only any good for removing odours, not saying don't fit one, just don't believe all the sales blurb.

I had a septic tank for 40 years and water board instructed us to use non bio products, that’s why I always use non bio in the van
