Which spray bottle do you favour instead of flushing or bio tabs?

We've been motor homing since 2007 and apart from the first few months, (when we were new and knew nothing!) we haven't used any spray in the loo. We have Sog Loo and don't use chemicals on a day to day basis. I put one of those "tea bag" blue sachets in once a month. I do it when we are moving around, so it sloshes as we drive. Apart from that nothing. No smells and for most of the time the cassette is "organic", so disposal isn't really an issue. If we're on a site/aire I empty the cassette daily. Like I say we've never had a single problem. The Sog cost me about £85 quid in 2008, so it's easily paid for itself in that time.
The topic is what to spray in order to save some fresh water and make the cassette last longer between emptying any nice smells are just a bonus

SOG is as you say great had two vans with it fitted but the filter does need to be changed often.

To expensive and no way as good as washing bio tabs.
Too expensive??

With a 100ml dose 10 litres lasts for 100 doses. The cassette lasts for 6 nights, so that's 600 nights. 10 litres costs £24, so that's 3.83p per night.

Have tried washing bio tablets, OK for a couple of nights but not for six.

Big empty space takes time to fill. 😂

Its a bit early in the morning for me but I make that 4p a night. I agree with you though. To me its not about the cost of whatever you put in the toilet its if it works or not. I had some green stuff thats safe for sceptic tanks in 2021 and it was amazing. Bought what I thought was the same stuff last year and it was rubbish. We have tried the various bio washing tabs and stuff, some kind of work but none of them are great. I sometimes wonder if its because we often stay in one place for a while. The cost of the actual proper stuff is insignificant. I just wish I could find one thats consistently effective.

I could care less about putting anything in the cassette, not concerned about the niffs in the least, it's only for a few minutes, I do put some Thetford crap in that we've garnered from our various van purchases, but that's for Lizs delicate nose when she empties it, we're on the last one now

Two issues I found. One is breaking it down. I think if your not moving so much it doesnt break down as good but after our winter trip over Christmas and New Year (just short of a month) we only stopped in two locations and the cassette is pretty minging. Not helped by not being able to rinse it at the first location but then I have heard that over rinsing gets rid of the bacteria that is helping breaking it down. Nothing seems to work like it used to though.

Oh oh, you'll have woken the trolls now :D :D

I do hope so. I'm incredibly bored. January is a £$%^ month and here we are discussing £$%^ over three pages so far. Think ill go off and do Rock God things. Maybe a song about £$%^. Or just a £$%^ song. :poop:

I think about 50% of them are £$%^ already Barry.

Only 50%? Got back a week or so ago I think. Cant remember, seems like yonks ago already.
Yeah I know, we're off tomorrow, should have gone today but decided we'd delay to get better weather, but that isn't working out, bloody hose is frozen I meant to drain it yesterday as it was sunny, but forgot.

I know space and weight is a premium and I don't have a big fat arse, but them Patheticford seat are tiny not much bigger (if at all) than the ones you put on a proper toilet for kids to use, I like to spread my cheeks, and let it flow :D :D
