Which levelling blocks

Sadly not quite true Bill. A private company invested $1 million in developing a pen which would work in space or underwater or in extreme temperatures.

NASA did buy 400 of these at $6 each which was a wise investment as broken pencil leads would be a fire hazard.

I prefer the myth version though and will use it in my local at some point.
Spoilsport, why let the truth spoil a good tale, shame on you Robmac :)

Totally agree. To be honest the crap cheap "Jumbo" blocks are generally ok and enough to get somewhere near. I think I even have a spare one at home that could replace the cracked one. Its just the odd occasion like where we are now they are not quite high enough to get totally flat.
You mean after all that we are back at the beginning 🥵😎

Cheers

There seems little difference in height between the quattro and the triple. The Triple to me looks like its got a wider pocket than the Quattro. I wonder if the three step one would be better for the larger wheels.

According to Millenco https://www.milenco.com/products/levelling
a) the top pocket on the Quatro is 1cm higher than the top pocket on the Trident.

b) the pockets on the Trident are longer (but the same width) as the Quatro.

Honest Barry I have been using Milenco now since 2016, on all types of surfaces and apart from cosmetic damage they are pretty well indestructible. I sold my previous set that were 7 years old. The only thing I had to replace was the bag, but they have even improved them now as I see from by new smaller levellers.

Oh and they don’t damage your tyres, honest :)

Going to try the newish All Terrain KO3"s. Just because it's available in the size I want and with a great load rating. 235/85 R16 120/116S
Closest Trail Terrain would be 245/75 R16 111T
The new version of my van comes with all terrain tyres as standard now Mark. I could have got them for a £400 option, but decided not to. I kind of regret not doing it now.

I remain unconvinced on that score. Probably not for a short stay of one or two nights. These look a bit less severe but without seeing them it depends how big the pockets are.

I've just had a quick look online, whilst they might look "a bit less severe" at first glance, look again at the side profile and they are nearly identical, I would note that several of the 'spikes' (for want of a better description) on ours are bent over, this is due too the tyre bearing on them instead of in the 'pocket', if you use the t3's this will not happen the tyre will deflect more.

Which T3 do you mean as there are two

This one only goes up to 12cm I think

This T3, the new one I discovered goes up to 18cm which suggests to me the pockets might be wider and its much longer than the one above.

Then there is the Quattro which has four levels but its actually 81cm whereas the T3 Maxi is 84cm with only three pockets. Therefore they must be considerably wider pockets than the Quattro and the Triple level which is only 61cm.

I reckon the best solution would be to carry the crap Jumbo blocks like I have now and have a set of humongous T3 Maxis just in case for the odd occasion like this one where the crap Jumbo blocks are not up to the job. Ill have to check the storage space.

I have a set of Milenco quads and a carry bag that you can have for a song when you head up back home Barry. We are in Evesham so easy to pop in and collect. Drop me a line if you are interested.

We have the 'Triple3' the one at top of your post, plus a couple of planks to give another 40+mm lift if required.
What I would warn about is plain planks can often cause the plastic ramps to slip if they are smooth.
