What should I do, Sell it or drop off all the Goodies??????

I tried the Sprintshift when they first came out and I thought then as I do now, just a gimmick, we did about 50 miles around Bradford which has some challenging roads it was a curtain sider and fully loaded it just preferred to be in the lower gears even on a motorway, I have no experienced of the Fiat version.

Interesting. What van was the Hymer S820, Sprinter 616CDI? That I guess would have used the SprintShift?
Back then towing weights were often only expressed in terms of GVW v GTW. These days a separate towing weight is nearly always given too. Obviously most are = to GTV - GVW, but not always.

Current and previous Sprinter models have same GTW regardless of transmission, the high GTW option being available for both auto and manual too.
This one

How old you looking at Kev, mine is one of the last T1n’s and it doesn’t tell you what gear it’s in just A or R. Only time you see a gear selection is if you use the box manually

in the 90s Neil I drove one of the first in Bradford so whenever they came out, one of the local haulage companies allowed the dealer to use theirs as test drive vehicle prior to delivery, in exchange for preferential service rates I heard.

Well the 2005 version is only one I have driven and as I said earlier it’s smoothest of all I have had, well the Borg Warner torque converters were smooth but you could tell more when they changed down under load. Of course, I don’t include my current car as it just drives from electric motor
