What must be included on the trip, absolute favourites

I'm kinda with Julie. I like a bit of 'home comfort', but not to the extent of some of the gin palaces on wheels some hanker after.

To be honest I have become a bit of a stick-in-the-mud with the old Autosleeper monocoques, which have been almost perfect habitation-wise (lack of garage space being the only real downside). But having being burnt twice with rotten chassis, I am very reluctant to go down that route again.

If I could get a more up-to-date panel van fitted out in a Duetto-style - without the Autosleeper price tag! - I'd be over the moon (y)

If she doesn't come round to my way of thinking soon Marie there'll be a mattress and a mistress in the back.

After all, what woman could resist an old mattress with a portaloo next to her head and an old paraffin stove for her to cook me a fry up in the morning?

Yeah!! more power to you mate, these wimmin are far too uppity these days, what right has she got to say no all the time eh???

Oh and 100 jars of Lift Lemon tea (yes really).
Blimey, they still make that! My mother used to like it, and the peach version which was even worse.

Yuk! I used to drink a lot of lemon tea, but it was just tea with a real lemon slice in it, very refreshing, not that horrible powdery stuff.

Yeah, I admit it, I'm a proper food snob over certain things 😜 😂

Anyway, back to thread topic - sorry about the usual wandering off track.....😁

Hot water bottle is an essential for me, but always kept a spare one on board ready for the off.

And my concertina.... !
Good idea, I'm taking a electric overblanket when we go away next the 300w inverter should cope with it okay I'm told, it'll save on LPG too.

I seem to remember you were going to buy her an electric over blanket thingie for Christmas, Rob? Did you not go for it after all?

I've since been recommended a 12v underblanket by a friend Marie, he has one in his T6 and reckons it's great.

He's away in the Philippines at the moment but when he gets back he's going to order me one, apparently he can get it cheaper than I can.

Tight git, will be warmer by the time you get it. Electric blankets don’t cost many sheckles
