what about one of theses as a battery replacement or addition to run mains equipment?

For anyone who doesn't understand electricity in their MoHo; or gets confused by wh & ah; or thinks AC/DC is a pop group...

This post https://wildcamping.co.uk/threads/electricity-in-your-motor-home-for-dummies.74748/ contains an excellent entry level document for beginners.

It does contain a few simplifications that our experts object to but it is well worth a read.

I recommend it 100%.

(By the way. I wrote it :))

When ever possible get equipment for the MH that is 12volt. Just running the inverter is a waste of current. When not in use, turn it off. (y)

Or buy a victron Phoenix inverter which is so efficient on eco mode it uses virtually nothing whilst being left on. There are some appliances which don’t work on eco, then I just switch to normal whilst it’s in use then through Bluetooth switch it back to eco mode when finished. I have the 1200 version which handles a KW, but larger versions are available.

ECO Mode:

Reduces power consumption by switching to standby when the load decreases below a pre-set value.
Reactivates when the load exceeds the pre-set level, maintaining efficiency.
