Used to play during Lunch at the Office.Talking of board games I do love a good round of Risk,
I've got a set of double 9s that belonged to my grandad so they must at least 75 years old.We have a set (55 tiles) of 9 spot dominos which is the standard in Cuba.
The only other place I've played 9 spot was a pub in Lymm, Cheshire.
Every year the was a knockout competition for the title of "Domino Professional".
The current "pro" was not allowed to enter.
For the rest of the year, to play the "Pro" had to buy him (a Lady never won whilst I lived there) a pint.
If you won he had to buy you a pint back and could not play any more that evening.
The secret was to get to play him when he was just drunk enough to make mistake, and you were sober enough to take advantage.
A great tradition.
Games pack on linux lite, dont bother with them these days.I enjoy using Microsoft Solitaire and Casual Games. It was originally Xbox but can be played on W10 on a laptop. There are various levels for all the card games and daily competitions (with worldwide competitors). I do it to stop the little grey cells turning to mush.
Febrile imaginationWorra boring lot you lot are! What's wrong with a good old game of "naked Twister"? Preferably played with a load of young hotties in VW campers you just met on an Aire or wild camping spot. Granted, its not always that easy to find participants but have some ambition F F S!![]()

You must have been about 10 back then.Got addicted a bit back in the 80s when a bunch of us used to play that nearly every weekend for a while.
I remember playing games of Risk back-to-back through the night 'til the early hours after we came back from the pub...
Me? Competitive? Naaah...![]()
I used to play "Black Maria" at school, but the only card game the school permitted was Bridge, so in the end we got fed up pretended we were playing Bridge and just actually played the game insteadI used to play Bridge in school but can't remember how these days.
Got Exploding Kittens. Maybe like you say, you need to be hammered? I found that game just totally unentertainingWe've also played some decent not-so-standard card games. UNO is easy and fun, Cards Against Humanity is great - but I think being hammered is a prerequisite. The filthy words that my mother in law came out with on that one - I was traumatised I tell you. Exploding Kittens and Muffin Time are both hilarious.
There is a fairly decent PC version of RISK. Not sure if it is ok with later versions of Windows though? Seems to be a problem with many of the Windows based games from the past.Got addicted a bit back in the 80s when a bunch of us used to play that nearly every weekend for a while.

Due to Liz's arthritis and my dodgy fingers, I ordered this for the trip next week, it arrived this morning.
And it deals really well no matter which option it deals it perfectly, but it doesn't shuffle so back it goes.
So I looked at this one from AliExpress, which has a video showing it working. Why don't they all do that? It saves a lot of messing about, sadly it won't arrive until next week when we're away, a neighbour will take it in for us.
Peeps do knock AliExpress, but I can't recall anything being crap, and even then I always use PayPal for online purchases, and they have never let me down.
Load that just shuffle from around £10, but no cheap dealers. Here is a video of the Amazon one ....
Looks a good price (others seem to be over £100).Found one that actually works on Temu, bu ttoo late to order it for this trip so it's in my basket for when we get back, alread given me a decent discount, it'' be more when I get home.
And they always seem to doa decent video of stuff working unlike Amazon and AliExpress.
