We only watch the 6 o'clock news and Corrie on 'live' TV when in the UK. When abroad we watch downloaded stuff on my laptop or maybe even the odd DVD or two.

I have no problem with a couple of hours of screen watching of an evening. We do a good deal of reading in the afternoons and at night when away, so a bit of mindless entertainment is not a problem.

You can't download from iPlayer to a PC these days. I don't think you ever could with All4. That's why we got the tablet.

You can actually using the Get Iplayer app. Its not as complicated as it sounds but a bit tricky at first. Not used it for a while but it does work.

Thanks Barry is there anything for All4? We watch a lot of their foreign dramas.
Mind you, we've got the tablet now which works very well for us.

There is a program called Streamfab I believe that does channel 4 downloads but I've never used it and Im not sure its free. C4 has an app but again its phones and tablets.

Even if I wanted a TV, one that big and bulky would be awful.

You must have good eyesite, not everyone has a smart ph.
Anyway stay at home if you want to watch tv. 😂

Just hold it closer and cuddle up. :D I do actually watch stuff from time to time on my phone though. If you have it close up its pretty detailed.
 
I have a wire that will connect lightning(apple) to hdmi, Some films will play no problems but you tube and apple music videos you just get an eror unable to link device message
