Watch tv anywhere

We just watch stuff straight off the laptops which I generally download before we go or on the fly if I get a decent connection or in the UK at least we just stream stuff (loads of data). I also have a 1tb usb powered hard drive with a library of stuff on it. The £2k Satellite on the roof which we inherited hardly gets any use.

We used the TV quiet a bit when we lived full-time in the motorhome...
Now we go away for around 2 to 3 months at a time we rarely turn it on...
Smart tv and sat dish .bit of a waste of cash really...

'mod cons' is an anagram of condoms, and those so inclined will ensure that they have a supply in the M/Home ... :ROFLMAO: I no longer have to use them for contraception, but they are useful or romantic interludes that could be spoiled if the damp sets off the other half's rheumatism ... :D

Steve
Bloody hell Steve, I've got an image in my head that I can't unsee now😟

We have £200 worth of Samsung Galaxy A series tablet. Download from All4 & iPlayer before we go away. All4 only lasts for 4 weeks before programme expires but iPlayer is often a year. We watched all the series of Shetland from the beginning again in the van. We only manage an hour a night, unless the weather si complete pants.
I have it on a different Google account for safety, and being a saddo have put my financials on Google sheets so I don't lose tracks of all the money we spend when away for a long time.

I have to agree Barry.

We love to watch a good film in a warm van somewhere like Glencoe when the wind is howling and snow falling outside.
Don't mind a film now and then when away in the van (especially if I'm at a wet and windy race track) but TV NO, Dont have a TV in the van, dont watch it at home unless I cant sleep, put the telly on and I'm either out of the room or asleep.

That meens no licence required as not watching live tv programes, but ok to listen (y)

Rarely watch the TV when there is a view to see outside ....

Often watch it when it's dark/or just honking down ...
Play games/quizzes too or graze on the phone ...

Some folks love tv/some don't/some read etc etc ....

To each their own ...no rights/wrongs

Next time we stay somewhere remote, this will be my choice of film;

We only watch the 6 o'clock news and Corrie on 'live' TV when in the UK. When abroad we watch downloaded stuff on my laptop or maybe even the odd DVD or two.

I have no problem with a couple of hours of screen watching of an evening. We do a good deal of reading in the afternoons and at night when away, so a bit of mindless entertainment is not a problem.
