Just seen a guy on the Italian beach making an influencer video of !!

A power pack with a 18 inch tv built into the sidewall, loads of charging options solar on the top multiple sockets on the opposite side carry strap loooked about the size of a 2kw genny but lightweight, it says watch sport or tv from anywhere on the box, one side of the box had a motorhome in the background and the other side had a tent

If I left home and I had driven less than 100 miles and then realised that I had left my TV behind I would go back for it, I wouldn't go back if it was more than 100 miles though, but I would buy a new telly ;)
The thought of having to talk for a long time to my wife would spoil my break, not that I would get a word in :ROFLMAO:

I could live without the TV but I would go back 1000 miles for the laptop. Actually I wouldn't. I would just buy another one and flog it at a profit at the end of the trip. :D

Don’t have a TV in the MH and don’t plan to. Can’t see the point of going away and sitting watching a screen.

If your going to do so, sell the van and stay home is my opinion.

I dunno if I dare ask this but I will anyway. If you go away in winter what do you do all night when its dark and you are in the middle of nowhere? Are you the original mad axe murderer?

Live TV is crap but I do like to binge watch good series etc in the van. Usually on a laptop. Something like Breaking bad or Succession. What the hell do people do without laptops or TVs?

Read ebooks, talk to each other, plan the next leg of the trip. And look out of the window and try to guess the screen size of TVs in neighbouring Vans that have left the curtains open ... :ROFLMAO:

Listen to the radio or watch my favourite YouTube channels.

I haven't watched TV for many years. No loss.

I read a lot, love to cook and listen to music. I also have an axe to keep sharp 😉

I have to agree Barry.

We love to watch a good film in a warm van somewhere like Glencoe when the wind is howling and snow falling outside.

Yep. Its more the technology I myself have become dependent on I guess rather than sitting in front of a TV for hours. Watch what we like when we like but as you have all probably realised I spend a lot of time on the internet. :D Be it on my phone or laptop from messing about on the forums to planning in detail trips, places to stay etc things to see to even a bit of gaming. I can't imagine a trip without all that. Well there wouldn't be one as its vital. We would manage I guess as people used to but why would you want to? The technology and screens IMO have made motorhoming better and easier and more fun.

Most people have all mod cons in their motorhomes Barry. Cookers, microwaves, heating, hot water Etc. Etc. so why leave out the TV? (and internet tech).

Don't get me wrong, I love to see the local scenery/wildlife and we do during daylight hours but watching a film late at night or the News and weather in the morning, why not? It makes the van a home from home. After all, I reckon close to 100% of hotel rooms have TV's.

Snap. The van is just an extension of my home to me. I expect the same levels of comfort and entertainment. I have been known to take an entire recording studio with me although only if I am going to Flamborough head for a few weeks. In the summer as you know we are off doing all sorts most days but when I get back to the van I want all the tech I would have if I were at home. Exactly! Why not?

'mod cons' is an anagram of condoms, and those so inclined will ensure that they have a supply in the M/Home ... :ROFLMAO: I no longer have to use them for contraception, but they are useful or romantic interludes that could be spoiled if the damp sets off the other half's rheumatism ... :D

We are all different, if I wanted to stay at home and watch TV I wouldn't have started motorhoming, I like to keep up with local news when travelling, I like to watch F1, football (only my team, so at the moment crap football), other sports, we don't watch soaps and if the weather is good we prefer to be outside enjoying the scenery but for the amount of room a TV and laptop takes up it makes sense for us to carry them.
Did I mention that I tow a car, I wonder how many posts will appear now saying that I might as well buy a caravan 🤔

Not a bad game yesterday Terry - turning point? Trust me, things could be worse!

We don't watch soaps either but if there's nothing worth watching we do carry a selection of DVD's but obviously we need to get with the times as DVD's do take up space.
